~Adrianna's P.O.V~
I took a deep breath and started walking slowly towards the ugly brick building. I hated this school but unfortunetly it was the only high school in town so I had no other choice. Currently I was attending my first year of high school. I didn't really think it was fun but I did feel proud of grades. Straight A's were something that everybody was jealous of.
I could feel people's eyes on me but I ignored them and kept on walking until I reached my locker. Unlike the other lockers, my locker was both boring on the outside as it was boring in the inside. All I kept in there were too heavy books that I couldn't really carry around and a few extra pens and pencils just in case.
After I had stuffed my jacket in my locker I slowly walked towards homeroom. My usual spot was by the window at the back of the room but today that spot was taken by a boy I had never seen before.
'That's my seat you're sitting in.' I said coldy loud enough for him to hear but not loud enough so that others in the room could.
His pale blue eyes looked up at me and he blushed and quickly stood up.
'I'm so sorry.' he blurted out
I shrugged feeling bad for the guy and sat down pulling out my a notebook to study until the teacher came.
'Attention, class!' my balled headed teacher called out.
Mr. Greyson was a very boring teacher who didn't talk much unless he really had to. He always had on those round glasses of his and his pale green eyes glared at those who talked too loud.
'Today we have a new student in the class.' he announced
Everyone except me turned to look at the blonde haired boy who stood up bravely and said,
'Hello. My name is Kai and I'm gonna be attending this school from now on.'
Shit. I thought. A guy like him was the kind of person that I would have to stay away from. I watched him from the corner of my eyes as he smiled at everyone as he sat down (excluding me). I turned away in disgust as the girls started turning towards one another and started whispering about him and casting glances towards him.
The bell rang and I waited until everyone else in the classroom left and then I stood up and walked towards my first period. For my first period I had Advanced Mathematics. There were only four people in maths. I went to all of the Advanced classes for all my periods. That was one of the reasons the students hated me were because they thought I was 'too smart' to fit in. Well, it wasn't my fault I had straight A's and had all advanced classes.
I entered the classroom and saw a blonde haired boy talking to my math teacher, Ms. Krystal. He turned around and my mouth fell open in surprise. It was kai. The new boy that I disliked the minute I saw him.
For a brief moment, my feet disobeyed me and suddenly I couldn't move. I didn't even know why, I had barely talked to him nor was he scary. Just ignore him. I thought.
I finally moved before anyone noticed and went to the end of the classroom to my usual spot that I had been spending two months sitting on in every Math period.
While the few students attending this class started coming in I looked down at my "tattoo". It had been there since I was born, a wave shaped birthmark on my left wrist.Suddenly my neck started itching uncomfortably, someone was watching me. I hastily turned around and just as I thought, there stood Kai eyeing my wrist with big eyes. I frowned, both annoyed and angry at his inappropriate appearance and quickly pulled down my sleev to cover my special birthmark.
At that moment he caught himself and looked at me with a surprised look then quickly murmur "sorry" and went to his seat.
Oh gosh, this kid is going to be trouble... I thought.

After my third period I had my lunch break and unlike all the other students who ate in the cafeteria I always ate at a hidden place behind the school. I didn't have to worry when it was raining or when it was cold because there was a kind of an open shelter. It kept me from being hit from the cold wind and sheilded me away from the rain. When I had found the shelter it had been in ruins. The insides had been filled with broken wood and rotten leaves but as time went by I had cleared them away and had made the shelter more like a tree house.
After sitting down cross legged on a cushion I opened my lunch bag that I always packed to school. inside was a simple ham and cheese sandwhich with an apple. Sometimes I had some grapes but today I had been in a sort of a hurry to school.
I jumped to my feet when I heard someone crushing the leaves as they walked through the forest. I backed against the wooden shelter so that whoever came wouldn't see me.
It wasn't the first time a stranger came out to the back of the school. Usually they came out to smoke their cigarettes or to scare the hell out of the innocent animals around here.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw a dark blue shoe come inte view and I took in a deep breath, hoping that someone would go away.
'What the hell?!' I whispered as the new kid, Kai came into view. He looked curiously at me and I glared at him but I stood still because there was still a chance that he hadn't seen me.
'Hi.' he said shyly
There goes my little chance. I thought.
I grabbed my lunch and school bag and stormed past him, running until he was out of sight.
'At least I ate all of my lunch.' talking to myself I headed towards my last class of the day. Every student ended school differently everyday and today (which was a tuesday) I ended school a bit earlier than usual.
I ignored Kai as he came into Music a few mintues late. I didn't particulary like the subject Music but I tried to focus on the teacher and ignored Kai's stare now and then.
As the bell rang Kai stood up and I saw him walking over towards me but I quickly zoomed past him and all the other students. I opened my locker and stuffed my books inside and at the same time took my jacket out and ran out the school doors.
