The school day was coming to an end. Adrianna had two classes left, both of them with Kai. She had to smile at him at some point or else he maybe would go back to the resturant and search for her again, and that could be worse. Who knew, someone from school would maybe see him and then discover that Adrianna worked there. And then, she would probably be more than an outcast, she would probably become bullied.

So Adrianna gathered her courage after the penultimate class and when she passed Kai in the corridor she gave him a small smile. Kai smiled widely back and blushed slightly. To Adriannna's relief, he was walking alone with his books in his hand and his backpack lazely thrown over his right shoulder.

When she smiled ever so slightly at me, my heart fluttered with no apparent reason.

What is wrong with me, I thought. I had no reason to be blushing just because some girl, furthermore an outcast, smiled at me.

It was my last class of the day and just when the bell rang I saw the corner of her mouth slightly curl up into a smile towards me.

At that second I blushed and I thought that my heart had stopped for a second. I thought I was crazy. What did I care about an outcast? But deep inside I knew why... because I had been an outcast once.

~ Adrianna's P.O.V~

Kai blushed. He freaking blushed when I smiled at him. WHAT!  I'm pretty confused, why blush when an girl with no friends smile at you? Oh gosh he is so confusing.

I had no time to think about it more, since the teacher just came in the room and started yelling at those who didn't shut up when she came in. Ms. Black was 29 year old, had dark brown long hair fading in blonde at the ends. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of light green, yet she annoyed me so much. Most of the boys at school flirted with her all the time, and she always flipped her long hair in the face of those standing behind her.

She flipped her hair with the back of her hand while standing with her back towards Kai, and the hair slapped him on his left cheek. Kai growled lightly and she turned around hastily.

'Oh my, Kai I'm so sorry!'

'Yeah, it's alright Black' He answered and chuckled.

He was the only one allowed to call her Black without the formal "Ms". And that annoyed me even more, why him? Is he special to her or something? Ugh.

She giggled and apologized again. And then he winked at her with a big grin playing on his lips. What the heck? Are they seriously flirting in front of the whole class?

The class went on, and they continued smiling at each other and stuff. She yelled at us others and collected our homeworks. Black was by my seat and asked me to hand over my homework.

'It's in my locker, I forgot it there.'

'Oh really? Do you think this is a game? You have to come prepared to class!' She screamed at me, her nosetrils fluttering because of her anger.

'Who the hell are you to yell at me?' I stood up and screamed in her face, this girl really got on my nerves.

She backed away one step, scared by my sudden outburst. Who thought an outcast would do this? Well I really didn't give a shit anymore, this was my first time not controlling my emotions. But I seriously hated her. I smirked at her scared face.

'Do you think this is funny?' She said in a lower voice now.

'You are ridiculous Liza, you know that?' I said sarcasticly and got her even angrier by calling her name instead of 'Ms. Black'. By that, the conversation ended, at least for my part.

Pissed, I took my backpack and got out of the classroom, slamming the door shut with a lot  of strength making the room shake, the glass almost shattered because of my strength. As I walked away I could hear the students whispering, probably talking about what was going to happen to me. Even I didn't know if I would even be able to attend this school.

I ignored the stares coming from the teachers as I left the school even before class had ended. I ran to the wooden shelter. I would stay here until everyone in the school had left. Than I would head over to the resturant. If I went now Mrs. Jade would notice that something was up.

'Freeze.' an unknown voice ordered from behind my back. I was about to turn around when I heard a gun clicking into place.

I was to scared to move so I did as the voice said.

'Put your hands above your head and slowly turn around.'

Again, I did as the voice ordered and as the person finally came into view I frowned. The person was a young man in his twenties who had strawberry blonde hair and light brown eyes. He was wearing all black and had a gun aiming towards me.

I was totally not expecting this. What I had been expecting was someone from my school trying to threaten me. This person in front of me did not look like a student.

'What do you want?' luckily my voice didn't shake when I spoke

He cocked his head to the left and I noticed that he was gesturing towards the shelter.

'How did you find this place?' he asked in a low and dangerous voice

I frowned as I answered him,

'I found it one day in ruins. So I fixed it up.'

'So you didn't find anything special in there?'

I shook my head and sighed in relief as he slowly put the gun back in his side pocket and turned to go.

'Wait!' I called out and mentally I told myself I was going crazy.

He turned around and raised an eyebrow.

'You're just gonna go? You tried to kill me just now!'

The man chuckled and raised his gun up again and I reminded myself to go to the doctors to be sure I wasn't crazy.

'You want me to?' he asked still smiling

I shook my head and put my hands higher above my head and tried pleading with him.

'No. That's not what I meant. I meant that-'

He cut me off as he caught of my birthmark that was on my left wrist.

'Where the hell did you get that?' he yelled at me.

This was getting scarier and scarier by the moment. He was really angry right now. I could feel it. Everything about him told me that he was angry. His hand was twitching by the trigger of the gun and his face shook in rage.

'I-I don't know.'

'If you don't say the truth then I will shoot. WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!'

Tears were streaming down my cheeks now and I really didn't know what to do. So I decided to just tell the truth.

'B-Birthmark. It's a birthmark.' I stutterd scared of his coming reaction.

I closed my eyes as his expression darkened. I opened them and saw that he hadn't lowered his gun and that he had only tightened his grip on it.

'You are the one we are searching for.' menacingly he pulled the trigger.

By instinct I put both my hands in front of me and waited for my end. Tears were still dropping from the corner of my eyes. I waited and waited for what seemed like a very long time but the pain didn't come. I opened my eyes a tiny bit and saw a sheild made of water surrounding me. I stared at it in amazement and saw that the man who had tried to kill me was unconsicous on the ground.

I stood up straight and as I put my hands back down to my side the water sheild vanished. I sat down as I got very dizzy.

'Are you okay?' it was Kai. He was suddenly beside me and was asking me if I was alright.

I didn't have the strength to push him away. Instead I closed my eyes and lied down in the shelter on my side trying to make the dizziness go away.

'Do you know what happend?' I asked softly

'I saw the whole thing.' he answered back
