Chapter 7

Charlie's POV

I awake to be surrounded by darkness. I turn left and right trying to find something, anything that indicates where I am. I'm only met with the darkness. I'm I dead? Alive? I'm puzzled. I sit down and pull my knees up to my chest just waiting for something to happen. I am awoken from my thoughts as a bright light shines into the darkness. I look up to see the most beautiful women ever. I look at her in confusion. I open my mouth to ask her why I'm here but the words just don't seem to come out of my mouth.

The women starts to speak though " hello my child. I am the moon goddess. I have come to steer you back on the right track. I know your life hasn't been easy but I've been watching you through the years. I have sent someone for you. You have the choice to return or to leave." I stare at her in wonder as I ask "what is there for me back there. I'm completely alone in this world. I'm a burden to everyone I meet. I'm better off dead. No one will want me after they know."

"Child I promise you, your very valuable to someone out there. I know because I matched you personally. Now it is your choice to go back but I advise you Togo back."

I sigh before nodding my head. She tells me to close my eyes. I open my eyes but immediately close them. The light blinded me. I open them quickly letting them get used to the lightness of the room. I sit up in the hospital bed. I look around and see nobody so I play a trick. I make the monitor start to beat like I'm dieing. I at has a couple nurses and a doctor come into the room.

I groan as I sit up. I'm in an hospital gown. The doctor starts to talk "Hello there miss. You will be fine now is there anyone I can call for you? Family? Friends?" I just shake my head no. He then says "someone called the paramedics. They found you on the sidewalk having a seizure. We found a high amount of cocaine and alcohol in your system. You could've died. We're sending you to a rehab center." I start to cry "I was just trying to have a good time at a club. I wanted to just have some fun for once." The doctor looks uncomfortable but leaves me after checking to make sure everything was alright.

I swing my legs over the side of the hospital bed. I slowly walk into the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror. How did it get this bad. My makeup is ruined as tears stream down my face. I remember the conversation with the moon goddess. I have to stop the drinking and drugs. And now I have to go to rehab. I need my things from the cafe.

I exit the bathroom to see some clothes on the bed. I slip them on quickly before quietly exiting the room. The doctor gave me a bunch of papers to fill out. I quietly fill them out and hand them to the receptionist. He give me a slip of paper. I look at it to say.

The patient Charlotte shall be in this rehabilitation house for the minimum of thirty days.

It gives an address and says I have to be there by noon of tomorrow. I yawn loudly and exit the hospital. I walk to the cafe in town. I walk in and go over to the counter. I look around for the boy from yesterday. I don't spot him so I ask another employee. The girl says he's not working today. I sigh before asking if my bag is back there. I described it to her and she brings it out to me. I thank her and buy some coffee for the road.

I arrive at the place and wait outside. I smoke before I go into the building. The start of a new beginning
