Storm's P.O.V:

My eyelids feel so heavy, it would just be easier to stay asleep. I was about to give up when suddenly I felt the need to wake up. Suddenly, I could feel sheets around me and someone's hand gripping mine. It took me a few minutes to gain control of my hand and when I did I squeezed the persons hand. Wait, why would my kidnappers let me rest in a bed? The hand I squeezed could be anyone's. I stopped focusing on using my hand and tried to open my eyes. I got my eyes to twitch but that was it. Finally, I was able to move my head and open my eyes.

At first everything was blurry but when my eyes came into focus I was instantly filled with relief. I was in the examination room at the mansion, I'm home. I looked up to see Logan holding my hand and Professor Xavier and Dr. Hank looking at me with relief clear on their faces. Flowers filled the entire room making it look like a rainbow exploded.

Hank smiled "welcome back Miss Monroe."

"Thank you, it's good to be back."

Logan and Xavier were silent while Hank explained what had happened on the plane ride back and the extent of my injuries.

After an hour of being talked to Xavier  wheeled closer to me "I know this is not the best time to say this but we need to know what happened to you while you were there. I sensed very powerful mutants there and Logan mentioned you said something about Mystique."

My smiled disappeared as I remembered Mystique's evil smirk when she abandoned me to get beaten by gunmen. I want to help them but what happened... Explaining's going to feel like reopening a wound that just started healing.

Logan growled "she just woke up and you want her to talk about what happened!?"

"You know I don't want to Logan but it is imperative to know what weapon x are planning." Xavier said in an even, calm voice.

I shrugged, trying to make it seem like replaying the memory in my head was no big deal "I don't remember much. Mystique would transform into one of you guys and help me escape until the guards showed up then she would change back and leave me there to fight them alone. Mystique was the only mutant I remember seeing other than the one that took me."

Logan's grip on my hand tightened "So you thought we were there to rescue you each time she came." Logan didn't say it like a question so I didn't answer him. Xavier did not look satisfied with my answer, he must have thought I would know more but I honestly don't remember much like part of my brain was scrambled.

Hank adjusted an IV attached to my arm and walked to the foot of my bed, "Do you remember anything else?"

I shook my head. It's strange that I don't remember what happened, maybe I was unconscious some of the time I was there. Everyone in the room shifted uncomfortably, they knew something I didn't.

"What is it Hank?" I said hesitantly, it might be something I'll regret wanting to know.

"Well we don't know exactly what it is but there's evidence that they operated on you and we were hoping that you would have an idea on what happened," Hank said while he walked over to a tray of meatloaf.

And just like that the calm unconcerned mask I had been wearing melted away. The room suddenly felt suffocating. An operation? I can't remember anything having to do with an operation.

"Are you sure? I don't remember a surgery."

Logan ran a hand through his black hair while Hank started pasing around the room. My head started feeling really heavy so I leaned back into the fluffy pillow. Professor Xavior, Hank, and Logan were all talking about something but all I could hear was mumbling. My body slowly giving into the need for sleep and after a few seconds I complied.
