The Plan

Storm's P.O.V:

"Why are you doing this?" I asked as I rubbed my swollen cheek. I can't believe I was here again. The room was identical to the cell I was put in last time, but instead of being by myself, the director and Sabertooth are in here too.

The director smiled, "out of all the other mutants in the XMen team, you have the most potential for mass destruction. According to members of this facility that have fought you before, you've never seemed to unleash your powers fully. When you were here last time, this town had the worst storm since it was founded in 1912 and you weren't even aware that you were doing anything." His face was a mixture of wonder and curiosity. "Not only did you do it unaware, you were exhausted and severely injured. Just think at how easy it will be to exterminate the XMen if we can harness and control a power like that."

"There's a flaw in your plan. I'd NEVER attack my teammates so if that's your whole plan you might as well let me go or kill me because I'm not going to help you!" I yelled as I tried pulling away from Sabertooth. My attempt only made Sabertooth smile and pull me closer.

"It doesn't matter if you don't want to attack them, I'm not giving you the choice." The director said happily.

I glared at him, "How are you planning on forcing me to help you? The torture you did last time may have scared me out of escaping, but no matter what you do to me, I'll never turn on my friends."

The director laughed, "you might not betray your friends, but your body will." He walked to where I was standing and his eyes slowly roamed up and down my body. I shuddered at the creepiness. "We have invented a device that enables us to have full control of a mutants body. Most telepaths also have this ability, but it's not as lasting as what we've developed. You have the device injected in your side already"

All I felt for this facility was disgust. Why would he be so excited about controlling other people? "If you can control me, then why use Mystique?"

"The device still has a few problems. There are brief breaks where some experiment subjects can acquire control again. It could last a few seconds or, in some cases, a few minutes. So keeping you there could have compromised our entire plan," he explained.

"What is your plan? Why kill off the XMen?" I asked quickly. So far, his plan made no sense. What's his motive?

"My plan is to use you mutants to gain control of this country and if I eliminate the XMen no one will stand in my way."

Okay, this guy is completely insane! His sketchy plan just proves how unstable his mind is. "None of your mutant test subjects are going to help you if they know you're using them."

The director laughed, "that's why they're not going to find out until the damage has already been done. Even if they knew what was going on, I could just start controlling them like you."

I managed to pull one of my arms out of Sabertooth's grip. While the demented Director was still laughing, I reeled my arm back and punched him in the face as hard as I could. There was a loud cracking noise so I knew I broke his nose. To say he was mad would be an understatement. He stormed out of the room and locked me in.

Sabertooth was still in the cell, but since the director was gone, he let me go. I ran to the corner of the room and sat down tensely. My claustrophobia started to wash over me when I noticed how small the room was. If I laid down on the floor with my head touching one wall, my feet would touch the wall across.

"Ya know, for a pretty gal, you sure do pack a deadly punch... Where did ya learn to hit like that?" Sabertooth asked from the other side of the room.
