The Unexpected

Chapter One

Ever since I was a little kid I was obsessed with the supernatural but I was mainly obsessed with werewolves. My best friend, Adrian, always thought I was crazy or something was wrong with me, since I actually believed that the supernatural was real. I would always try to get Adrian to go out in the woods on a full moon to see if we could prove that werewolves were real. He would never agree with me to go but one night of the full moon he agreed to go out in the woods to find prove that werewolves were real.
So I asked my mom and she said," Nova can I trust you two boys not to get into any trouble or get lost." Then Adrian makes a smart comment," I don't know we might just find someone out there in the woods." So my mom starts to freak out and I have to tell her," Everything is going to be fine we will be back by midnight, its Adrian he is just a sarcastic person. We'll be fine I promise." She lets us go out, so we both get a flashlight and I get my glasses because with out them I can't see. We head outside and straight to the woods which is only about a five minute walk from my house.

We get to the start of the woods and turn on our flashlight and Adrian with a sarcastic tone said, " Hey. You don't think there is anything out there? Do you." I tell him, " Look who you are talking to of course I do." We both laughed and walked into the woods. Adrian turned on the video recorder and turned the night vision on and we walked around for about a hour and the only thing that we found was a deer that jumped up out of no were and scared the shit out of us. I check the time and it was eleven o'clock so I told Adrian lets head back so we can make it back to my house by midnight.

We are heading back to my house and almost out of the woods we here a growl and I ask Adrian, " What the hell was that?" Adrian replies saying, " I don't no dude, but we need to go." I turn around and see glowing bright eyes so I tell Adrian to run and I started running so my glasses fell off so I have to look for them and I told Adrian I'll be fine so he could go on. As soon as I find my glasses the thing that we were running from came up and bite me and left me there I barley caught it in the corner of my eye. I get up and look at my side and see the bite and I make it out of the woods to see Adrian standing there worried when he saw the blood on my shirt.

We get to my house and luckily my mom is in bed and doesn't see me. Adrian takes me upstairs and helps me doctor it and I tell him," thanks man. I have no idea what that thing was." Adrian doesn't know what to say so all he does is nod. I could tell that it killed him that he left me behind after I told him to. I tell him that I am fine and he could stay the night because we have football try-outs tomorrow. So we go to sleep and my mom comes and wakes us up and I go to the bathroom to check the scar were the thing bit me at and it wasn't there. I quickly tell Adrian and I show him and he ask," What the fuck, I seen that bite last night and it was horrible how is it possible that it is healed." I tell him " I know that it is impossible so why is it healed." We both sit there in shock but we have to go to school because of football try outs.

We head out the door and my mom stops us and ask us," Did you boys find anything last night." I quickly reply,"Nomam, we have to go bye love you." I had to answer her before Adrian had a chance to say something smart or tell her that would make her worry. So we get to school and I start to feel a little sick and I about fell but this new girl caught me and got Adrian to come here. I get back on my feet and ask her what her name is and she tells me that her name is Andrea. I tell her thanks and I tell her that she should come and sit with us so we could talk. Instantly I fell in love because she had blue eyes with black hair and something about her just made me think that she was important.

Lunchtime comes and Andrea comes and sits with us and she starts to tell us how she just moved here because her dad got a new job. Out of the corner of my eye I see some random dude and I look back to Andrea and back to were that man was standing and he was gone. I Start to freak out and I tell her I had to go but I gave her my number so we could talk later. I go and try to find that man but he was no were to be found. So I just go to class and everything is normal until something strange starts happening.

I hear peoples conversations from outside the school. I can also smell some something that had a strong sent and it was blood. I didn't know what was happening, so I can't concentrate on school and so I get called on to pay attention and everyone is just looking at me and started to chuckle. So after the last class of the day is over I have to go to football practice. I went to the locker room to change and found Adrian there and I tell him about what was happening to me and he thought I was lying so he told me," come on man nothing is happening lets go to practice." We head to the field and we have to see who could be on the defense and I had the biggest player up against me and instead of him getting past me I knock him over. I look at Adrian and then I tell him," I told you. Something is going on with me." He said," alright man, I'm coming over tonight to try and find out what's wrong. No matter what is happening man im here for you." I tell him thank you and practice ends and we get the results and both of us get defense and we head to my house to try and find out what's happening to me.
