The Unexpected

Chapter Eight

 When I was falling asleep I just kept having this nightmare or I guess some people would say that it was a delightful dream, but for me it was a nightmare. I couldn't understand why I was having dreams about this person its just wrong. I finally managed to go to bed without having  that dream and I still had a nightmare but anything was better than that other dream. Anything was better than the first nightmare I had. So I woke up at a decent time, so  I worked out some, took a shower, and as soon as I got out the shower with nothing but my towel on and Andrea was sitting on my bed and scared me half to death. I just yell at her," I guess now that you have your new heighten senses its easier to sneak up on someone." She just stands up and walks towards me," Nova really is it to bad that I can come in without your mom knowing . Even though your mom is a hunter I can still sneak into your house." As soon as she got close enough to kiss me my mom busted down my door with a gun pointing at Andrea," Andrea, I might not have super hearing but I have ways to know when someone is in my house and you still think you can sneak around.?"

 I yelled at my mom," Mom, what the fuck are you doing. Put the damn gun down and please knock from now on, Gosh.". My mom finally puts the gun down and said," Alright but if you guys want to talk here come through the fucking front door, don't sneak around." She turned around and slammed the door ," Andrea, i guess we shouldn't really do anything at my house anymore. I mean she already has a hard time with me being a werewolf but now you its just hard on her." She just looked at me with gentle eyes," Nova, yea I'm sorry I just feel great with all of these heighten sense's but we do need to go to Lucas' place. He told Adrian and me that we needed to get you so I volunteered . I hope you didn't have nothing else in mind or would you like to go to Lucas' house." I just looked at her," Trust me I'd rather do anything else besides goes to Lucas' house." She just smiled and pulled me into a kiss and then said," Well if you want to do something else we should go to his house so we can get down to other stuff after we get done at his house." I just smiled as she climbed out the window and I got dressed so I could go to Lucas' house. As soon as i get to the living room my mom asked me were I was going and I told her that I was going to Adrian's, so she wouldn't get even more worried about me going to Lucas' house.

 I got to his house and automatically my heart started racing for no apparent reason but I tried my best to keep it in control, so no one would notice my irregular heartbeat. I swear sometimes I just know there's something wrong with me besides me being a mythical creature but oh well what can I do. Lucas just looks around the room and down to the table, we all looked down at the table and there was a map of the town. He just started talking, " Alright, so you all are probably worried. Well at least Nova is, anyways you all are most likely wondering why I called this so called "meeting". We need a strategy to take down this beast." Of course he would call me out with my heartbeat. I wish I could control this but you know what I can't, I wish I could just kill something. Anyways Lucas' plan sucked, he wanted us to all split up but I suggested that we go in pairs instead of being by ourselves. I was honestly scared that he might get mad but he agreed with me and said that he would figure out the pairs and he was going to call my mom and tell her the plan. Before I had a chance to ask when we were going to take action, Lucas told us that we were going to take action tonight. It was just like he could read my mind. As soon as he called my mom I remembered that I told her I was going to Adrian's, I'm dead.

 Of course, when Lucas told us our pairs I was with Lucas and Adrian and Andrea was together. He told me that he didn't want me to be distracted but little did he know I was going to be distracted no matter who I was with but some more than others. Before we head out Adrian took me far enough outside so that the others couldn't hear our conversation. I ask him what was wrong and he just looked at me with a puzzled face," Really Nova, it's so obvious that something is up with you. I mean every time that you are around Lucas you heartbeat rises and you ignore everyone else, even when we talk about Lucas your heart skips a beat. I have a idea of what's wrong with you but I don't think that it would be like you to feel that way, so tell me." I just look at him and I know that he could tell if I was lying so it's not like could lie to him ," Nothing is wrong with me I mean, I have lost a little bit of feelings for Andrea. I'm not feeling the same way I did when I first fell in "love" with her." I mean it wasn't a lie so it would actually get him off of my but, so I could actually figure outs what's wrong with me. Adrian still looked like he new something else was up," Look, Nova I know something else is up with you but Lucas is coming but you already knew that because your heart beat jumped up. I know what it is, well talk later."

 Lucas comes over to where we were standing and ask us," Hey guys anything wrong." I just shook my head and Adrian asked him," Lucas are we about to go ahead and leave." He just shook his head with a yes motion and we all headed out to where we needed to be. I mean hey there is a upside to be paired up with Lucas, I could get to talk to him I mean he is my alpha but he never really talks to any of us and hey I was his first beta well of his new pack anyways. We got to our spot and my heartbeat was out of control and before I could say anything to him he asked me, " Nova what's up. I can tell that there's something up. After all you are my beta." Every time he said that he would smirk and laugh. I just looked at him and told him," Well I have been getting this weird feeling and I just don't really know if I should feel this way or if I need to stop." He looked at me, " Nova, if you are saying that you have these feelings for some guy then, trust me I know what you mean. Shoot I have had this same thing happened to me but I let it pass. It's your choice wither or not you act upon it or not. So are you going to tell me who this "mystery man" is or do I already know about it." I just laughed," Well wow, and Lucas trust me you know this person. Its really easy to tell." He just looked at me," Nova, you have a crush on me your alpha. That's why your heartbeat is always off beat it's not because of Andrea. Wow you had me fooled.
