The Unexpected

Chapter 14

   We all got into my moms car and we left, there was no turning back i was going to have to end this. I wont let my friends fight this battle, i have to fight my father.
   No one else was going to get hurt, I have to save everyone. No matter how hurt I got, I wasn't going to let my dad kill anyone else.
  
The ride was silent for most of the ride until Andrea broke it, " So Nova, do you have a plan on what to do with your dad?" I clench my fist because i knew nobody was going to like my plan but it was what I had to do. So I told everyone my plan," Well you guys are going to go and save Lucas while I take care of my dad. I plan on killing my dad." Adrian and Andrea just looked at me and i'm pretty sure my mom would have done the exact same thing if she wasn't driving.
  Everyone was shocked that I have came to the point of killing someone but no one gets away with hurting someone I love. My mom tells me that it was a horrible plan and that she could catch him. I couldn't believe that she actually said that so i told her what i thought about that," Really mom. You are going to catch him, if you would have killed him in the first place we wouldn't be having his stupid conversation."
  Everyone knew I was pissed by that point, so they all keep quiet and to theirselves.

  We arrived at his supposedly safe house but all it looked like was a abandoned building. We started getting out of the car and I could smell Lucas' blood. I was about to run in there but Adrian stopped me," Adrian what are you doing let me go!"
  Adrian didn't let go instead he held me down harder," Nova this is exactly all he wants. He wants you to run in there so he can kill you!"

I pushed him off and then i looked at my mom who had her gun and then I looked at Andrea who already had her claws extended and ready for a fight. I look at them all and I ask them," Are you guys ready for this?" They all nod so we slowly make are way into the building.
  As soon as we walk in I heard Lucas screaming in pain, and then I heard my dad," Nova we are down here." I look at everybody and we head down to the basement.
 

When we get there I see Lucas chained up, he had cuts that weren't healing. I think there is some type of poison that is preventing him from healing. 
    My dad steps in front of Lucas and smiles," Well Nova i don't think four against one is a fair fight."
 

 I quickly respond before anyone else has a chance to," Well, if you let Lucas go and get rid of what ever is out of his system then you and me can fight it out." He shook his head in agreement and unchained Lucas, and then Adrian and Andrea run over to him to pick him up. My dad tells me that the poison that is in Lucas' system will come out on its own.
  I tell everyone to watch out and step back so my dad and I can have our fight.

  My dad and I start walking around in a circle each one of us was already not our human selfs, we was just waiting for someone to make the first move

  " I guess you are to scared to attack your own son." I said to him with a smirk on my face. All my dad did was laugh at me. I didn't notice his color of his eyes until now. His eye were blue, which meant he was an alpha. It was going to be even harder to hurt my dad than I thought. I was only a beta and he was an alpha.

 Next thing I know my dad lunged at me and knocked me down," Come on son, you have to put up a fight before I kill you!"

  I just laugh and wipe off the blood coming from my lips," Really dad, you are funny because you are going to be the one to die." I punched him in the nose and I could hear the bone in his nose crack. He didn't give up every punch I threw the angrier he got and the stronger he got.

 I started to get tired of fighting but my dad seemed like he was getting started. Every punch he threw he would brake some type of bone.

 I could hear him say that there was no way that I was going to beat him but that would make me even angrier and made me want to keep fighting.

 He lunged at me again and knocked me down and I couldn't get up. Next thing I know my dad was standing over me and he was ready to kill me. Next thing I know I hear a gun go off and I look over and it was my mom. She shot him off but it didn't take long until he was back up again.

  My dad started laughing at my mom," Oh sweetie you shouldn't have done that." Next thing I knew he was ready to kill my mom. He looked at me and smiled," What should I do Nova, should I kill her or should I turn her into the monster like us."

 I looked at him," We are not monsters the only monster here is you."  I looked at my mom and this was the first time that I actually seen her cry. I looked at him and told him," I won't let you turn her or kill her but I will turn her."

 He looked at me and smiled," Now that is what I am talking about. You are actually going to save someone for once." He brought her to me and he  walked back, how was he so stupid he knew that I wasn't going to turn my mother.

   As soon as he walked back away from me I pushed my mom back behind me and I already heard my dad running to me, so I stood there just waiting for him to attack me. As soon as he got to me I threw him into the wall, I was tired of this shit I was not going to let him hurt anyone else.

  As soon as he was standing back up and ready to attack again I started to punch him until I could feel his bones crack. Before I slashed his throat to kill him I told him," Looks like your day's are over with."

 He started to smile and he told me with barely any breath left in him," After this you might  want to check on your mother she is good at hiding pain because I already scratched her and soon she will bleed out before you get to the hospital."

 I didn't notice it till now but I could smell my mothers blood. So I told my dad," You son of a bitch" and then I slashed his throat. I knew what that meant I was an alpha but I didn't care at the moment, I had to get to my mom.

 I went outside to wear everyone was and I seen my mom in Adrian's arms. He looked up at me and I knew right then I was to late, my mother was dead. I couldn't do it anymore I feel to my knees and I started crying. Even know my mom and I had our arguments I still loved her and I couldn't believe that this happened.

 I felt someone put their hand on me and when I looked up it was Lucas. I instantly stood up and I hugged him and I kept crying into his shoulder. I didn't want to leave or tell him that I was a alpha now because I didn't want that to come in between us and lose him, I just couldn't lose someone else, but I had to.

 So I looked him in the eyes and I changed my eyes and told him," Lucas I am a alpha." I heard Adrian and Andrea gasp in shock and all Lucas did was hug me tighter and he whispered to me," No matter what you are I still love you and I wont leave you. I will always be with you."

 I went over to Adrian and Andrea and told them that we had to come up with a story on what happened for the police and they nodded and they both hugged me in grief.

 I asked Lucas if he would want to move in with me because I couldn't live in this house alone, especially after what happened. He smiled at me," Nova I would love to, this way I would be able to protect you even though you are a alpha now but I still want to protect you after all that has happened to you." I just smiled at him and kissed him. I was still crying but I knew that I couldn't change what had happened.

 We had the funeral a couple days after all this happened but I still couldn't believe that everybody in this town just thought that it was a couple of kids trying to rob us. This town was so twisted but I loved all of the memories that I have here. I will always miss my mom but I have to move on so I wont feel miserable in my life. I have to be strong for everyone and for myself.

 Even though I don't have my mom with me anymore I know that she is watching over my friends and me. I also know that my friends will comfort me and be with me, and Lucas will always be my side no matter what changes in our lives.
