The Unexpected

Chapter Seven

  In a blink of the eye Andrea was already at Adrian and she knocked him over and Lucas went and tackled her while I went and checked on Adrian. Adrian was scratched across the face from Andrea's claws and Lucas had Andrea chained up so she couldn't do any more damage than she has already done. I was panicking he was worried that he would bleed out and he thought about one option that would save him and that was getting Lucas to bite Adrian. I just stood there in disbelief that this has happened," Adrian there is a way that you will be okay and that is the bite. Do you want to get the bite so you can heal and be safe?".  Adrian just sat there in disbelief that this was what his life was going to be," Nova if you think that it will save me then yes get Lucas to bite me. I mean hey he needs to build his pack anyways." I just laughed and got Lucas to come over there so that they could tell Lucas that he needed to bite Adrian.

 Lucas nodded as if he knew that if he didn't give Adrian the bite then he might bleed out. Lucas just smiled and made a smart ass comment, " Adrian this might sting... just a little."  I held down Adrian as Lucas gave him the bite. After what happen Lucas and I decided it would be safe to tie down Adrian since what happened with Andrea. I was barely hanging on I was still new to this so I could barely keep my cool on the fool moon. Lucas came over to me," Nova I know you didn't want Adrian to be one of us but you know if he didn't get it then he might have..." I cut him off," I know Lucas I'm just worried that the thing that killed your own pack will do it again and this time it is my friends that could possibly get killed." We just looked at each other and as soon as I was about to start to say something Lucas cut me off," Nova I will do anything and everything in my power to keep them and you safe." I just stared at him in disbelief " Really Lucas that "thing" almost killed you I mean when it attacked you it almost killed you and with just a few teenage werewolves probably will do more damage than help.". We just sat in silence  for the rest of the night, we took turns on watch to make sure Andrea or Adrian wouldn't do anything stupid as trying to escape.

 The sun was rising and it seemed as everything was normal but then the memories of last night replayed in my mind of Andrea and Adrian. I look over to Lucas how was wide awake and working out, it seems that every time he has a chance he is working out it gets so annoying but there were bigger things at hand. I look to Andrea and Adrian and they both seem fine so I wake them up and unchain them and they both looked confused as if they had lost their memory from last night. I wasn't sure until I heard them say "what happened last night" Lucas and me stare at one another as of saying either I tell them or he would so I figured I should. I began to tell them that the bite in Andrea became effective quicker than normal because the full moon and that it just so happened that Adrian was there and she lashed out clawing his face and Lucas stopped and that the only way for Adrian to survive was to get the bite. They look between each other, me, and Lucas and Adrian was the first one to speak," So this means that we are all betas and Lucas is all of ours Alpha. We are all werewolves now, just FUCKING great!" Lucas just nods and replies," Yea that basically sums it up. Anything you have to say Andrea?" She just gives him this stare that could kill," All I have to say is that im sorry of it wasn't for me Adrian wouldn't be a werewolf." Adrian just told her," Its fine hey we have heightened senses and we are better in everyway." We all just laughed at his comment.

 Lucas just breaks the laughter with bringing in the bad news," Well being a werewolf comes with a lot of responsibilities and especially with this "thing" out there so we need to do a lot of training." We all just looked at him and just because he was my alpha didn't mean that I didn't fight back," Really Lucas we can't have one moment to process everything can we just have one day without you being this big bad alpha acting like you can do anything..." Before I could finish he cut me off with a roar which made all of us wince because he had the power over us. He looked at us," Nova, we need to be on the loom out and train we don't have that much time to relax so we need to do everything we can."  We just sat in silence for about an hour until Lucas told us that we should go home to check in with our parents and meet back at about three so we could start training.

 We all came back to Lucas' place and we started training. We would go at Lucas one at a time but we could never take him down or by surprise. With this training we would never be able to take down this beast. As we keep doing it Lucas would be making smart comments," You guys have to try harder.". The only thing about it was that we were all trying are best well all besides me. I was thinking about Andrea and Adrian and how that they wouldn't be at a risk and wouldn't have to do this if it wasn't for me. Not only that I have started to feel something that was just wrong and I could tell that Lucas could sense because every time he looked at me he would smirk and look between Andrea and me. I had to figure this all out by myself and no one could help me.  We lost track of time because we  have been training so much, it was about time that we all went home. We started to leave but Lucas told me to stay back because he had to talk to me," Nova I hope that this filling that I can sense on you doesn't get involved with training because if so something will change." I just look at him and nod," Well Lucas I wish I could control it but I don't even know why I am feeling like this.". I just walked away and my heartbeat was rising for some odd reason but I just went straight home.

  When I got home my mother was there which I was surprised that she wasn't out there looking for that beast. I walked in there and obviously you didn't have to be a werewolf to tell that I wasn't feeling right. She called to me as soon as she saw me," Nova, what's wrong I can see that you are thinking about something." I just looked at her," Mom I do have some things on my mind but I just don't exactly know how to handle it and I just don't feel comfortable talking about. I mean I will tell you this I honestly don't feel a spark between Andrea and me; I mean we are still happy but I am developing feelings for someone that I would have never thought I would have ever had feelings for." She just told me that it was alright and that she understood but that if I ever needed to talk that she would be there.  With all of this stuff going on I don't know how to feel so I just want to go to sleep forever.
