The Unexpected

Chapter Two

   Adrian and I go to my house after practice ends and as soon as I get home I get a call from Andrea. I was so shocked that she called me, I mean no girl has ever called me first so I look at Adrian and say," Man, I have to answer this It will only take a minute; go ahead and start looking up what could be happening with me." Adrian responds to me by saying," Go ahead. My boy Nova got himself a girlfriend.".  As soon as he made that remark I looked at him and answered the phone. As soon as I answer it Andrea says," Sorry for calling already you must think that I am just a new girl who is really clingy to somebody she thinks is cu...". She stops talking before she gets out the last word so I quickly ask her," What was that last word?". She quickly responds saying," It was nothing, I wasn't going to say nothing."

    So we keep talking and before I realize its already been about twenty minutes , and all we have been talking about is her and how she always moves around because of her mothers job. So I hear Adrian mumbling to his-self, I totally forgot about him being in my room. So I stop Andrea from talking and tell her that I have to go. Without even thinking I ask her if she would like to go out. There was a moment of silence and I was worried that I came on to strong r she just didn't like me enough to go out. Then I hear her say," Of course I would, come by and pick me up at my house at eight o clock." I tell her, Okay see you tomorrow at eight goodbye." Before I hang up she says," By the way earlier when I first called I was going to say that you were cute." and she hangs up.

   I can feel my face turn red and begin to smile, so I walk into my room and Adrian looks at me and says what were you'll guys talking about for so long and I tell him and he says: "wow you'll spent that much just talking about her."  Before we say anything else I tell him that I am going out with Andrea tomorrow at eight. As soon as I say that he gets up and says," That's my boy, congrats man. So were are you guys going?" I tell him that I wasn't sure but lets get to what is wrong with me.

  He tells me that while I was talking to Andrea he searched for my symptoms and what happened to me and he said that there were two things that could be wrong with me. One of them was a sickness with a name that I couldn't say but there was one symptom that I didn't have that was on the list. So I ask Adrian what's the second thing that could be wrong with me. He looks at me and say," Nova the only other thing that I found was a werewolf." I look at him in complete shock and confusion. I quickly say," That's not possible, there's no such thing." He says," The only way to see is to test you."

  We quickly do test like seeing how quick I would heal and how I act in certain situations. So we get a knife and cut my arm and as soon as the blood came out Adrian started panicking. So I quickly wipe up the blood and tell him that its alright. We look at my arm and it was already starting to heal. So I began to freak out and I ask Adrian," What does this mean?". He says," This means that you are a werewolf." The next test we do is to see what happens is when my pulse starts to rise. So Adrian tries to get me angry and he couldn't until he mentioned something about Andrea not liking me and that someone else was with her. I fall down on my knees and stand back up and look at Adrian and I don't remember what happens but Adrian does. I wake up and Adrian says," Nova you are a werewolf and you tried to attack me because of your pulse, Man I don't think you can go out with Andrea if she gets you pulse up." I yell at him," I will be fine I will be alright nothing will happen and you can't stop me.

  Tomorrow comes around and it feels like forever before eight but it finally gets here and I go and pick her up. She comes out of her house and she comes to the car and she gets in and ask," So were are we going?" I tell her that its a surprise. We get to the spot and I had a blanket there so we could lay down and look at the stars. She looks back and forth between me and the blanket and I start to see tears forming in her eyes. I ask her why she had tears. She tells me," Its just that no boy has done this for me and I have always lived in cities so I never had a chance to look at the stars like this. So we head to the blanket and lay down and start to look at the stars. I look over at her and she ask me why I am looking at her instead of the stars and I tell her," You are just as beautiful or more than the stars. Then she comes in closer and she starts to kiss me. We pull away and then we start making out which leads to her getting on top of me. We slowly stop and we start to take off each others shirts but my pulse was out of control.  I quickly stop before I turned and she saw what I am, But she kept dragging me back into kissing her and I looked and saw claws coming out of my hand and I start to freak out but I just couldn't stop. I think to myself, " What will happen if she finds out, is it worth the risk?"
