The Unexpected

Chapter Thirteen

 When Lucas and I got done drying off after the shower we went to the kitchen and Lucas began to make us some dinner. I just couldn't help but smile, I mean I had a boyfriend who could cook, understand me and he would listen to me. I guess I was just staring when I was thinking about that because Lucas just laughed," Nova what is it with you staring at me."

 I shook my head as of a way to get me out of my daze," I mean it's kind of hard not to stare at you." I mean I wasn't lying when I said that. I didn't know what he was cooking but it smelt delicious shoot if it was up to me I would have made him order pizza for us but I forgot it was raining wait it was pouring. I couldn't help but wonder if Adrian and Andrea was going to come over since it was Pouring and I should actually tell Lucas that they were planning on coming.

"Lucas. Adrian and Andrea are supposed to be coming over so we can all talk about my dad.". Lucas just kept cooking and then got some plates before he said something," Alright Nova you need to call them to make sure they are still coming over because it is getting late and it is storming outside." I agreed and I picked up my phone and called Adrian it rung about three times before he answered," Hey Adrian are you guys still going to come over or what?"

 He stayed quiet for a minute thinking about what he should do," Uhh, Nova I would want to come over so we all can talk about your dad but its getting late and the storm is getting worse. So I don't think I am coming, I'm sorry." I just sighed in relief honestly because I wanted to spend more time with Lucas," It's alright man well I will talk to you later. Bye."

 I turned off the phone and I sat back down at the dinner table and Lucas had my plate already fixed and he had a candle lit in the middle of the table. I just told him," Thank you Lucas." He just smiled and sat down in front off me," Well Nova I was thinking about taking you on a date but this is the best thing I could do because of every thing going on." I laughed," Well Lucas I don't mind at all that this is our first date. It would be the best I could ask for."

We sat in silence listening to the rain while we ate.  After we got done eating I figured that I would help clean up the kitchen, since Lucas cooked for me. So I put the plates in the dishwasher and I wiped off the table while Lucas got the rest of it. I picked up my phone and seen were my mom text me and it said," Nova please call me. I want to know you are safe."

I really didn't feel like calling her, I was so happy being here at Lucas' house but I knew I had to tell her but I was just going to text her, "I'm alright. At Lucas' place for tonight. see you tomorrow." I threw my phone on the couch, which was a stupid thing to do since we were about to sit on the couch and watch some Netflix. Well I have to use my account since Lucas didn't have one. I mean I didn't want to judge him but I mean come on who doesn't have Netflix.

 We sat on the couch with some popcorn and I had my head on his chest and I listened to his heartbeat which made me sleepy but I stayed awake because every once and a while there was a skip in his heartbeat. I had a feeling why his heart did that but every time I thought about it I laughed. He just looked at me and kissed my forehead and he just smiled at me. We were both so happy to be together no matter what was going on around us.

I could barely keep my eyes open because I didn't want to fall asleep before Lucas did. Good thing he falls asleep quickly because I look up and he is asleep. So I feel asleep.

I woke up at about eight o'clock and I couldn't feel Lucas sitting beside me, so I figured he was in the shower or cooking. So I went and checked the bathroom but he wasn't there, so I went ahead and took a shower. When I got out I went to the kitchen to see if Lucas was there but he wasn't. I began to panic, I mean I was probably just overreacting. Lucas was a alpha if he wanted to go out on his own I suppose he could take care of his-self.

I wait for about a hour and Lucas wasn't back yet so I decided to call him. I got worried because he wasn't answering. I called him back and he picked up; I could barely understand him," Nova I need your help. Please find me and I love you." My heart started to beat faster," Lucas I will find you and I love you to." After that I heard someone close a door and then the line went dead.

I couldn't believe it Lucas has been kidnapped. I haven't had a panic attack in a while but I felt one starting. I quickly texted Adrian to come to Lucas' place immediately and he responded by saying he will be there in five minutes. I couldn't help it but I  broke down and I started to have a panic attack. By the time Adrian got here I was on the floor with my knees up to my chest.

 Adrian finally pulled me out of my panic attack and then I started to tell him what happened," Adrian Lucas has been kidnapped. I called him and he told me that we need to find him." Adrian grabbed my shoulders and told me," Nova we will find him. He is our alpha we have to find him."

 As soon as we got done talking, I asked him if he could take me home and we left. When I got to the house my mom was sitting outside and she seemed worried. Adrian and I walked up to her and she looked at me and hugged me," Nova I am sorry but your dad is missing." I looked at her and I started to put it together," Adrian call Andrea and tell her to come to my house and mom, Lucas is missing to and we have to find him but I think I know who took him. Lets go inside."

We went inside and something seemed off  but we just sat at the table and then Andrea knocked on the door and Adrian went and got her so know that we were all here I could tell them what I think is going on. I knew my mom wouldn't like my idea but I didn't care, I had to find Lucas.

I looked at everyone and then I looked at my mom," Well everyone. I think I know who took Lucas. I mean just think about it Lucas gets kidnapped and then my dad goes missing. I think dad took Lucas."  Everyone just looked at me and my mom started to say something but then there was a knock on the door. I went and checked who it was and it was a note and it read

Nova, If you want to get Lucas back you have to find us first and then we will talk about the arrangements so you and Lucas can be together again.   From: Your loving dad

I started to howl which turned into a growl. I walked into the living room where everyone was staring at me I looked at my mom and told her," Still don't believe me mother." and then I through her the note and then she gasped. She started to say something but I cut her off," We have to find where my dad is hiding Lucas."

My mom looked up at me," Nova, I think I know where they are. Your dad asked me about a safe house of mine." I just looked at her," Mom where is the safe house."

 She told me that it was about a hour away. I looked at Adrian and Andrea," You guys don't have to come." They just looked at me and Adrian stood up," Nova Lucas is our alpha to we are coming." I just looked at him," I know that but i am talking about the fact that it's my dad. My dad is unpredictable I don't want anything to happen to you guys and if I have to I will go with my dad so that Lucas can come back."

They all yelled at me including my mom," NO we are all going."  I just nodded my head and told them thank you and to get ready.  I am going to finish off my dad and I am getting back Lucas no matter how hurt I get. I told them," We leave in thirty minutes get ready to fight."
