The Unexpected

Chapter Three

Everything was happening so fast with Andrea. To many things were going through my mind like, what will happen if I can't fight the urge to turn in front off her, will she still like me. I have to stop this or I will eventually turn in front of her. Luckily I didn't have to do anything because there was a herd of deer running towards us just like the night I got bit. We quickly jump up and grab the blanket and run back to the car. We get to the car safe and sound and I start to think to myself, was the deer running away from that werewolf that bite me if so I have to get us out of here, we quickly get into the car and I start to drive us out of the woods and she seemed like there was something on my face. So I ask her what's wrong and she tells me, "sorry" and I ask her what she was sorry for and she told me that when those deer came out of no where that she was so startled that she bite my lip and made me bleed. I laugh and tell her." Don't worry about it, I heal fast.". We both start to laugh and I asked if she needed to be home because if not I was going to see if she would like to come over to my house and stay a little. She says that she would love to but she should probably get back home.

I take her home and drop her off and before she steps out she tells me," That was the best time I ever had." I start to blush and tell her," well I tried to make it the best thing for you." She closes the door and I start to head home and out of no were the man that I saw in the lunch room the other day was in my car. He pops out from the back seat and scares the hell out of me. I yell at him," Who the fuck are you and why have you started showing up everywhere."He says ," Well hello to you too and by the way I am the one who bit you in the woods the other night. Oh yea and my name is Lucas." It took me a second to process what he said so I said," Well hey Lucas... and why the hell did you bite me the other night in the woods." He explains to me that his old pack left him and that they all died because of some people that are known to be hunters. I tell him," That still doesn't explain why you had to bite me." He yells," Nova calm down I was about to tell you just give me time, damn." He starts to explain that when a wolf is alone it isn't as strong like it would be with a pack and with the hunters in the area he really needed a new pack.

 We arrive at my house and my mom is home which is a shocker because she is always gone at night because her job has her working the night shift instead of the day shift. I tell Lucas that he needs to leave before my mom sees him and before I even finished he was gone and I sighed in relief. I start to think to myself since he bit me will the hunters be after me know and if so what will I have to do in order to escape them whenever they catch me.  I can't let this stuff get to me so I head inside and I talk to my mom because she was curious on what happened so I tell her besides the part of Andrea and me making out. When I tell her about the deer that came out of no were she seemed to jump and ask me were exactly this happened she seemed so interested in it and I ask her why and she ignores the question and ask me again so I tell her. She said that I should go up to my room and get some rest because I have to wake up early and go help with the animal adoptions in the morning.

 I head up to my room and I call Adrian and tell him what happened and that I found out who bit me the other night. I tell him just to face time me so I could explain it even better. So we get on face time and I tell him about Lucas and why he bit me the other night. Adrian starts to freak out about Lucas and the hunters. He asked me," How are you going to get back in touch with Lucas so you could talk to him about this stuff." I reply with a scared tone," I don't know like how do I know what to do when a full moon comes and what about the hunters." We just sit in silence. Adrian starts to say," Isn't the full moon Monday which is in two days." I just sit there in shock and look at him and I said," Oh shit what am I going to do." I just can't believe that this is happening tome of all people, but hey at least I know about werewolves, at least I thought so.

  I get off of face time with Adrian and I just lay there trying to fall asleep but I can't stop thinking about what is happening to me. I finally fall asleep at eleven o'clock even though I have to be up at seven. I wake up and everything is fine, so I get dressed and head down town and get to the adoption center only to see Lucas and Adrian talking to each other I run up to them and I stop them from talking because I was scared that he would bite Adrian. So I tell Adrian that this was Lucas and he acted shocked for some reason. I ask Lucas what was he was doing here and he told me," I just wanted to check up on you Nova after all you are my beta haha." I just laugh along even though it wasn't funny, so I ask him about the full moon and the hunters and how I could ahold of him when I am in trouble in public or just needed advice. He told me to just howl or if I can't do that text me, so he gave me his number. So after that he leaves and Adrian comes up right behind me and ask so what did you'll talk. I tell him that we just talked about why he was here and how could I get ahold of him.

 So a little bit later about noon the adoption center is done for the day because they were out of animals that were up for adoption. So Adrian and I head to my house and I ask Adrian if I should text Lucas to see if he could come over and explain this stuff to me and Adrian said," That would be the best thing to do, I would help but I don't know nothing about this shit." So I text Lucas to see if he could come over and he said that he was on his way, I was expecting him to pull up in a car, but nope he appears at my window and scares the shit out of Adrian and me.

So he starts to explain that on full moons is when you feel the urge to run around and kill, which is the worst thing because the hunters also know that which means that they well be all over the place. I start to have a anxiety attack because this was just so much to take in at one time. It seems like it lasted only for a couple minutes but Adrian and Lucas said it was about fifteen minute. They start to make sure im fine and I tell them that I am fine and I just need a minute to take this all in. I ask Lucas," So what can I do to keep control for my first full moon." He looks at me and laughs," You can't keep control your first full moon but there is a way to keep you to weak to be able to stay in a little control and that is pain" He tells me to try and come over to his house so everyone will be safe.  I tell him thanks and that I will be there tomorrow night.

 Lucas leaves and Adrian looks at me and says," So... we still don't know who these hunters are." I tell him," It will be fine it can't be anyone we know so I should be fine." Its time for Adrian to go back home because tomorrow is school and Monday the night of the full moon. It is now ten o'clock and I get a text from Adrian saying, "good luck tomorrow." I just sigh in disbelieve and go to sleep. I wake up in the morning and I head to school and on the way out I tell my mom that I will be going to a friends house tonight so she want be worried when I don't show up tonight. She just says," Be careful, after all its the full moon." We both laugh and I walk out the door and head to school were I see Andrea standing there. I say hey to her and she waves and we walk into school together.  We walk together until we have to go  to class and I ask her," see you at lunch?" She responds," No, I have to go home early because I have to go to the doctors." I look at her and she said," There is nothing wrong I just have to get a checkup." I sigh in relief," Ok well hope everything goes well, text you later."

  I go through the school day just fine but I could already feel the full moons affects on me.  So I get Adrian to drive me to Lucas's place but I just realized, I don't know where he lives. So I call him and he gives me directions to his house.  We arrive their and It was this two story house and he is sitting there on the front porch. Lucas just didn't seem like he would live in this nice of a place. He is about six feet and two inches, wears leather jackets ripped jeans and a tee shirt. I Just can't imagine him living in a place like this. We walk in and the moon is starting to rise and I start to feel out of control. Before Lucas could stop me I dash out of the house and just started running and I could feel my sense's becoming stronger. Next thing I know I  am caught in a trap and this women that looked like my mother started to come close but before she got to close Lucas came and got me out of the trap and we ran away from that hunter.

  We get back to his house and he ties me up so I would run back out and I black out because of the pain that was going through my body. When I wake up I realize that I am late to school but I was in no shape to go to school right now. I walk outside to see Adrian and Lucas talking. I tell Adrian we have to go to school but he looks at me and says," You can't go to school like that you are limping and you have blood all over your pants." I agree with him so I get him to take me home and Lucas follows us until we get to my house. Luckily my mom isn't home so I go up to my room and fall back asleep. When I wake up I see my mom standing over me which made me jump because she looked exactly like the hunter from last night. Wait a second my mom is one of the hunters how is this even possible.
