By the time Lapis awoke. Peridot was home again, sitting at her desk, getting frustrated at something. "Peridot?" Lapis yawned, Peridot looked over with a tired, loose expression. "Huh? Oh, good morning, Lapis..." Lapis sat up, and got off the bed walking over to Peridot. "You look tired... Maybe you should get some rest..." Lapis said, sitting on the floor next to her. "I wish I could Lapis, I am rather tired. But, I can't I'm working on something for the leader..." "I was meaning to ask... Since Yellow Diamond isn't here any longer... Who's the leader?" Peridot yawned before answering, "Rose Quartz..." Lapis nodded, "I haven't heard of her before..." "A lot of people haven't." Peridot replied, she sounded drowsy. "Go to bed." "I can't." She whined. "Whatever you're working on can wait." "No it can no!" Lapis blinked at her sudden voice change, "Why not?" "The fence you came through... There's sighs that it's broken!" "What?? How do you know?" "There's signals from the barrier near by!" "The barrier?" "Come in, you can't come out ever. No way through." "Oh no..." Lapis bit her bottom lip. "The creatures or people on the other side might come and destroy the village. We aren't sure who or why they are coming though..."

"I think I know..." "Who, what, why???" "The guards of the castle I come from. They're probably looking for me so they can lock me in that mirrored room again!" "Oh... Yeah, that bad..." Lapis nodded, "They should just give it up, I don't like my home anymore. I rather live here." "Why is that?" "My home is so advanced, I miss the olden days. We had simpler lives, like here. So, I want to say here!" Lapis seemed more serious than before. "I can be myself here..." She added. Peridot nodded, "You can stay as long as you like..." Lapis smiled softly, "Thank you..." Peridot stood up, and got on the tips of her toes and pecked her cheek. "I'll go to bed..." Lapis blinked and rubbed her cheek, smiling more. "Okay, take as long as you need..." Peridot nodded and got under the covers, rolling on her side where Lapis couldn't face her. Peridot was actually quite happy with herself now, it seems that Lapis just makes her day brighter....
