"Beverly?"
"Mr. Derek! Oh my gosh, how are you?"
"Im good, its been a year, where have you been?"
"I-I kind of ran away from dad, Im studying here. Acquaintance of Allison?”
"Actually, I am Allison's father and Mrs. Annie's ex husband. We were divorced when Allison and Dean were just kids."
“Oh-go-gosh. So you're saying THE Allison I knew was actually Dean's long lost sister?"
"Hello, Beverly. Thank you for coming."
"It’s an honor to have known Allison even for a short while; I'd like to pay her a last respect."
"So now you've met Mr. Derek, guess you both know each other, huh?"
"He's Dean's father and you might be his mother then."
"Yes, actually Beverly, I knew it was you. I was there during Dean's funeral a year and a half ago; I saw you and thought you might be his girlfriend or something. And when Josh told me about how he saved your life, I didn’t expect it was you but my instinct tells it all. The moment I saw you walking into the room, I knew it was the Beverly Dean had loved years ago."
"Wow, I didn’t expect that at all. What a small world?"
"Yeah indeed it is. Where did you get that necklace?"
"This? It’s Dean's. Mr. Derek gave it to me after Dean's funeral."
"Its sweet of him. Im sorry you have to lose Dean, now I lost both of my children. Only God knows what He’s planning on." She patted my shoulder and I gave her a big hug. "A love dead is not a love forgotten, a new love is not a replacement, it’s a promise for something better." She gave a glance at Josh and walked away with Mr. Derek.
