Love At First Bite

CHAPTER 7

Rose's POV

Calum walked out of the room after the boy, avoiding eye contact with any of us. Regina, Leah and Makada went to go comfort Aurora while I stood in the door way. I can't say that I didn't care when I really did feel for Aurora. I understood what she felt. My parents weren't exactly pleased to find out that my last boyfriend was the complete opposite of what they wanted, and they wanted someone who was like me. Someone with straight A's and who stayed out of trouble. Aurora was crying long tears while leaning on Shaloma's shoulder. I couldn't take anymore of it. I followed Calum to where I knew he'd be.

He sat in our room with his head in his hands. "Calum what was that?" I asked sternly approaching him.

"What was what?"he asked sliding his hands from his face.

"Don't play stupid Calum. Aurora is crying in there." I scolded.

"She has to cry once and a while, its nothing new."he muttered putting his head back in his hands. Sometimes I wondered if the money was really worth marrying the idiot.

"Calum are you really gonna leave her crying on the floor of her bedroom because you choose to judge the boy by his species and nothing else." He moved his hands for a short while before getting up and standing a couple centimeters from me, staring daggers through me. "I happen to care about this family and I won't let anything outsiders hurt us."

"Are you even hearing yourself? Outsiders? You are talking complete crap Calum."I said with my tone raising. "The girl is 16 leave her be."

"Yeah then when he goes and breaks her heart or possibly kills her what's gonna happen?"he asked.

"Calum your first wife was a werewolf. You know what, I am so sorry for caring about the girl's feelings because obviously Calum Hood is right and will always be even if the world is ending."I said out of frustration.

"Figures you'd take the werewolves side."

"What is that supposed to mean exactly?"

"Well with Harry. He was a complete douchebag but Miss Rosey here couldn't be bothered to notice because, and I quote, 'it was just a phase'."

I stood shocked at the fact that he would use Harry as an example. He knew it was a sensitive topic for me but didn't hesitate to cross the line. "Fudge you I loved him."

"And there she goes again defending him."he said mocking the situation. I was to annoyed to respond so I just slapped him across the face and got into bed.

"Goodnight Calum."I muttered. It was one thing to make his daughter cry for nothing but bringing up the one person I wanted to forget was to much.

Tyra's POV

I woke up to hear Calum and mommy yelling with the faint sound of Aurora's sobs on the background. I hated to hear my parents yelling like that, I always have. It hurts to hear people that I love constantly arguing. Well in this case just my mommy. I snuck out of bed and to their room, opening their door just enough so that I could peep in. Anger was clear on both of their faces as the tension rose. I stepped away from the door having enough of the two of them and headed towards Aurora and Shaloma's room. I walked slowly in and sat next to a sad Aurora.

"What's wrong?" I asked putting a hand on her shoulder. She turned to me and wiped the tears from her eyes before responding.

"Boy issues."she said with her voice cracking.

"Oh."I said. Everything in a teenage girls life seems to revolve around boys these days. "Don't worry boys are pretty stupid."

She laughed. "Yeah most of them but this one seems to be a little smarter than regular guys."

"How did he make you cry?"I asked.

"Well he didn't try to make me cry exactly, dad just tried to do something to him and I'm pretty sure he won't talk to me again."

"What if he does?"

"Then it'll be a miracle."

"I think he will." She gave me a weak smile to this before I hugged her. It was a surprise to both her and myself with this act if kindness. I spent the rest of my time with her, Shaloma and my aunts. I was drifting off to sleep before Calum ran in asking for uncle Zayn.

"What's wrong?"asked aunt Regina.

"It's Rose. She's bleeding."

Calum's POV

Rose and I had had an argument over how I treated the situation with Beauty.I personally thought she should've told me she was going to bring a boy into the house instead of dragging him in and hiding him. Rose went to bed, having enough of what I had to say about the issue. I left the room still angered by what happened. I went into the basement where I got myself a glass of blood to calm down and think.

Maybe I was a little hard on both Beauty and the boy. Just because he's a werewolf doesn't mean he's gonna randomly kill us all. Him and Beauty are just friends either ways. It's not like years from now they're gonna end up married with a child. I should probably just let it go and let them talk to each other.

I decided that since Beauty talking to the boy wouldn't kill any of us and I would let them hang out with each other. I returned upstairs, washed out the glass and went to Beauty's room. I stood outside contemplating whether to go in or wait until tomorrow. I glanced inside to see long tears flowing out of her beautiful brown eyes. Her soft sobs were slowly killing me. I couldn't take going in there because I knew that I caused her pain.

I quickly left the door before anyone noticed me. I went to my room and shut the door behind me. I ran a hand through my hair before putting my face in my hands. What have I done? After I brought myself to move from the position I was in, I dragged myself to the bed. On pulling off the cover I noticed the sheets were stained with blood. Rose's blood. In panic I shook her awake.

"What , what's wrong?" She groaned rolling over sleepily.

"Your bleeding." I said worriedly.

"What?"she asked now fully awake and sitting up. She pushed the comforter off of her lap to reveal blood all over her pajama pants. "Oh my God, Cal, the babies."

I went into automatic father mode. I ran into Aurora's room like a manic asking for Zayn.

"What's wrong?"asked Regina noticing my attitude.

"It's Rose. She's bleeding."
