chapter 22

That night I made everyone sleep in Dannie and I's room. Dallas, Cade, Blake, and I even made Jace and Katlynn come over.

We fell asleep peacefully with Cade in my bed, Blake with Dannie, Dallas on the couch on the other side of the room, and Jace and Katelynn on the floor.

The next morning I woke up in an empty bed and the only people in the room were me, Katelynn, Dallas, and Dannie.

"Where is everyone?" Kate asked when she saw I woke up.

"I don't know," I said and Dallas's eyes flittered open.

"Good morning sleeping beauty," I said and he smiled.

"Good morning. Where'd everyone go?" He said looking around.

"We don't know. wait," I turned to Dannie and tossed a pillow at her. "Wake up," I said and she rolled over.

"What," She said sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"C'mon we have to go find everyone," I said "And Dannie. You have something you have to tell Blake and Cade," I told her. She nodded and slipped out from under the covers.

I tried opening my mate bond and it was finally open.

'Cade where are you?' I asked.

'In the kitchen, why?' I heard his voice.

'Is Jace and Blake with you?' I asked getting up and walking to the door.

'Yeah' He replied.

'Ok see you in a bit' I said.

"There in the kitchen," I said turning around. Dannie let out a sigh of relief and we walked to the kitchen together.

When we got in there we saw a big mess of pots and pans and the boys just smiled and walked to the loaded table. There was pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash browns,  and everything else you could have for breakfast.

"This stuff looks good," I said sniffing the air "Smells good to."

"Better be good we woke up at six just to make it all," Blake said scoffing.

We all sat down and stuffed our faces. Dannie and I the most.

"Calm down there hulk," Cade looked at me and laughed.

"Says the guy who had access to real food the past three days," I glared at him and slowed down a little.

"Ok were having a big campfire tonight and I'm taking you out for a walk in the woods," Cade said pulling my chair out.

"Fancy. Every girls dream is to walk in a bug infested forest with creepy animals," I said and walked to my room and shut the door.

I put on a nike jacket and some yoga pants and just threw my hair in a messy bun.

We walked in the woods for awhile in silence before I remembered Dannie's wolf.

"Cade?" I asked and he turned towards me.

"whats wrong?" He asked.

"Umm... while we were gone Dannie kinda.." I trailed off. "Transformed into a wolf," I finished.

"What? How?" He stopped. We were deep in the forest now and I don't know the way back.

"Michael gave her a mixture in a syringe and she turned I guess," I said shrugging not really knowing the full details. He just nodded and stayed silent in shock.

"I think its time for us to head back. Don't want to miss the party," He said grabbing my back and turning me around.

"Ok. How about we play I Spy," I suggested trying to get rid of the silence.

"Are you serious?" He looked at me and I nodded. "Ok. You first," He said looking ahead again.

"Umm... I spy something green," I said.

"Were in a freaking forest Ash. everything is green," He replied. Ok I guess were walking in silence now.

"Will there be alcohol at this party?" I asked.

"Yes. Have you ever drank before?" He smirked.

"Yes but I get drunk easily so watch out," I said and he laughed a little.

When we got back home the music was already blasting and some teens were already drunk. The fire is just being made and it isn't even dark yet.

"I'm going to go get us some drinks," Cade said walking to the house.

I decided to try to find Dannie to ask how it went with Blake. I'm going to go to school tomorrow because I feel like I've missed to many.

Dannie was dancing in the middle of the yard with a red solo cup in her hand and Kate right beside her.

"Hey," I semi-yelled walking up to them.

"Hey your back!" Dannie said hugging me.  "Have fun?" She said wiggling her eye brows.

"Yeah Dannie. That's what happened," I rolled my eyes and laughed.

Cade tapped me on the back and handed me a drink that smelled strongly like alcohol.

I took a sip and felt the burning liquid run down my throat.

after while I started to forget everything and Dannie and I just danced the whole night. It's somewhere around two o'clock in the morning now and the party is still going.

I spun but Dannie pushed me and we both fell to the ground laughing. Cade walked up to me and I glared at him.

"C'mon," He said holding out his hand.

"Caaaaade," I whined "You're blocking my view of the stars!"

"get up," He told me as he helped me up.

I giggled then get really serious. "Do you see that big orange lion over there?" I whispered.

His eyebrows furrowed "You mean the fire?" He asked.

"You know his name?!" I said shocked.

"Hey Cade remember the secret..." Blake said as he came up to him.

"What secret?" I asked suddenly interested in this goober. Goober?

"Yeah. What about it?" Cade asked completely ignoring me.

"What secret?" I said louder.

"I need you now." Blake said and they started walking off.

I huffed. "Fine, KEEP IT A SECRET! I have PLENTY OF MY OWN!" I gasped and he turned around. "You're a spy aren't you!" I gasped again and had a horrified look on my face. "YOU WORK FOR THE ORANGE LION!!!!" I yelled and he laughed and kept walking. "Dannie?" I asked turning towards her.

"Yeah?" She said dancing.

"Our boyfriends are in league with the orange lion," I sighed "They are just gonna have to go," I shrugged. She stopped dancing and thought for awhile.

"How about we put them in the shredder then feed them to our unicorns," She suggested.

"Sounds good but it will have to be when there aren't any witnesses... They could be working for the orange lion too," I said looking around secretly.

"True. But lets dance for right now before the orange lion figures out our plan. We have to act like we are innocent little angels," She said smiling and we danced and danced our hearts out.
