Chapter 10

I skipped into the kitchen and found Jace, Kate, and Blake.
"Where's Danielle?" I asked. I really wanted to see her because we had so much to catch up on. I wanted to tell her I'm giving Cade another chance and I wanted to get the scoop on her and Blake.
"She had to go to the store," Blake said. "She'll be back in about ten minutes,"
"Ok," I said leaning on the island. "So Blake what's been happening?" I asked. I felt Cade come in and lean on the counter beside me.
"What do you mean?" He asked confused.
"Between you and Danielle," I wriggled my eyebrows and Cade smiled. Blake's face turned bright red.
"Uh-I-um-d-don't-know why your talking about," he stuttered.
"Yeah you do!" I laughed. "Tell me!"
He sighed. "I don't know I mean we've been on a couple dates but I haven't actually asked her to be my girlfriend," he said playing with his fingers.
"I say you ask her," I told him. His eyes shot up to me. "You'll never know unless you ask," I saw Cade looking at me from the corner of my eye.
"You know your right," he smiled.
"Well duh," I told him.
"But what about my mate?" He asked Suddenly aware.
"But the bond that I feel with her is just like how I thought it would feel if I had a mate..." He thought a moment.
I thought for awhile and decided to open my bond back up with Cade.
When I left he kept trying to talk to me through the bond and Jace taught me how to close it.
When I opened it my brain was flooded with knew emotions and thoughts from Cade. He looked at me and I smiled at him.
'Is it possible for a were wolf to have a human mate' i asked him.
'Yeah but it's rare' his husky voice filled my head.
'I think that's what's happening' i told him.
He looked at Blake and back at me.
'Maybe' he said and that was it.
"Hey Blake what if Dannie was your mate. Cade said it was possible for you to have a human mate," I suggested. His eyes lit up like a little kids on Christmas.
"When's her sixteenth birthday?" He asked.
"So today is June 17 and her birthday is July 4," I told him. "But you might want to get her warmed up to the idea of 'us' so she doesn't freak out." He nodded.
"Ok um can we all tell her together?" He asked looking at Cade, Jace, Kate, and I.
"Yeah totally man," Cade said.
"Ok when do we tell her?" Kate asked.
"Tonight..." Blake said sternly.

"So what did you guys want to talk to me about?" Dannie asked sitting with us on the couch.
"Uh... Dannie this is hard for us to explain..." Blake said sitting on the couch in front of her.
I was sitting in Cade's lap on the floor and Kate and Jace were sitting together on the love seat.
"Ok so where do I start...?" He thought a moment.
"Ok Dannie we aren't normal," he started. "We aren't fully...human. We sometimes transform into...wolves," she looked shocked.
"W-what...?" She asked.
"We are were wolves. We transform into wolves whenever we want and on full moons. Do you get it?"
"Uh...y-yeah I-I guess," she stuttered.
"Ok and we also have this thing called mates... Every single wolf has one... Its the other half, the last piece of the puzzle," he tried to explain.
"Like a soulmate?" She said catching on.
"Exactly. Anyways... Every wolf scenes there mate a) if they are in range and b) if they are sixteen..." He said. "I don't technically know where my mate is because I don't know if she's sixteen but I can kinda feel an attraction to a girl," her face fell and Blake didn't catch it.
"She's beautiful. Has a great personality and smile," he said smiling.
"Oh. Well I uh... Hope she knows that," Dannie said sadly.
"Oh my god. I can't take this idiocy! Dannie. He's talking about you!" I told her. Her eyes shot to his and they stayed like that for awhile.
She blushed and looked away.
Then she took a deep breath. "So wolves?" She laughed. "You guys didn't really have to make something up just t tell me Blake liked me," she looked at us "but thanks."
"Uh Dannie we weren't joking," I told her.
"Oh yeah... Prove it." She said I smirked.
"Can I have the honors?" I asked Blake. He smiled and nodded.
I stood up and took a deep breath. I closed my eyes and when I opened them they were my wolfs. I felt myself transform and I felt the joy of it.
I perked my ears and put my front paws onto her lap.
I licked her face because it was scared. She then smiled a little and scratched my ear.
When I was in Florida Jace taught me to transform and keep my clothes on so I jumped down and felt myself transform one more time.
Blake and Cade looked at me in confusion as Jace gave me a thumbs up.
I turned around and sat back down in Cade's lap.
'How's that possible?' He asked through mate bond.
'Listen I know a hell of a lot more than you will ever know so don't be surprised sweetie' I told him.
He rolled his eyes like I was lying to him.
'I say we fight tomorrow' I told him. To an alpha that was considered a challenge.
'Ash no. I will kill you' he stated.
'Yeah right. You'll be lucky if I don't kill you' I tried again. I wanted to show him I'm not someone he can push around.
'Fine your on' he said. Yes!
"Wait so is that why they're..." Dannie motioned to Cade and I.
Blake nodded and I just smiled.
I'm going to fight my mate. Game on.
