Just to clear some things up. What happened to her was when she met Sam he started to show her a different side of things. Sam was a vampire who did evil acts and loved it. Once he converted Riley/Tiffany over they took over a town. So since Riley lost her memories and it couldn't be fixed, Sam took the advantage. She trusted and fell into what Sam said and joined him. So shes pretty much a different person now, Tiffany. This isnt where there story ends, they'll be back. Thanks for reading and im hoping to post book 2 soon. :)
