Concorde limped through the corridor hoping to look for a place to heal his bad leg privately. He searched through the doors to find the right one.
Little did he know that the Queen was crawling above the ceiling, invisibly following him.
He turned right, faced the door marked "Bathroom", and was about to take a step forward when suddenly, the Queen pounced on him.
He yelped loudly in pain and asked angrily, "Do you have issues, madam?"
"Umm, no," Layarune replied, "but everyone was wondering why you were gone all of a sudden?"
"I need to find time alone," he replied, "to heal my leg and rest. The spell is automatic, but it will take around fifteen minutes, considering the damage done to it, but first..."
Concorde put his hand on the cracked wounds of Layarune's weakest point. Blue magic flowed from it to the cracks, sealing them up in no time. It inspected the rest of her body, checked for bruises and other wounds, and healed them. In a few minutes, Queen Layarune was fully healed, and Concorde very exhausted.
...
It was dinner time, and Concorde found himself sitting on the end of the very long dinner table. Layarune, in human form was sitting on the other end of the table. The only things separating them were four candelabras and three vases in between the candelabras.
Cirrus was sitting at Layarune's left while Daughter and Umbra were sitting at Concorde's left.
The elf looked at his foot; it was covered with a silken bandage.
"Don't worry," Umbra reassured him, "Cirrus and her boyfriend made the bandage. He's an angel, literally!"
"Mmhmm," Layarune added, "Mikayla's twin brother, Matharos. He blessed the bandages to make the healing stronger. Alright, Cirrus, stop thinking of him."
"Fine," the Jorōgumo said, "You're no fun."
"Alright," Layarune said, "Let's eat dinner, for it is ready, and then we can get some sleep. Tomorrow, we're going up to Mikayla."
...
Meanwhile in the Upper Hereafter Palace of Queen Mikayla, Mikayla and Matharos were talking while Illoaide was looking out the window.
"Yearning for Concorde I see," Mikayla said.
"Worry not, drider child," Matharos added, "Cirrus told me that your friend has Layarune's approval already. You can wait for him in the next test. He'll arrive tomorrow morning."
"Alright," Illoaide replied, wrapping thread around her fingers, "I will."
"Good," Mikayla replied, "Come and eat dinner with us. After that, you can get some sleep."
