It was night all around, and the air had a tinge of glowing red. However, the Lower Hereafter was a lively city and it was a metropolis which looked like all the world's metropolises combined. Sometimes, it had the air of 1950s New York, and sometimes it had the air of 21st century MetroTopiaPolis.
Dotted with city lights it was, and splattered with nightlife buildings it was: clubs, casinos, bars, entertainment businesses of every kind, even internet cafes.
The three reappeared in a busy crossroad in Lower Hereafter. In front of them, cars, buses, taxis, and limousines were buzzing by, honking horns whenever necessary. They saw the high skyscrapers dotting the maroon sky and the various neon lights around this crossroad.
"There's a bar nearby," Daughter said, "Umbra knows one of the folks there."
"It's actually right across the street," Umbra said, "and actually, I do know the deejay there." He pointed to a small building with a neon sign: a sign of a Japanese lady sitting on a spider's web and the words (translated) The Kumo Bar and Brothel under it.With that, Concorde said, "Let's go!" and they crossed the street to the bar entrance.
Little did they know that two lunar wraiths were watching them. Both of them had purple skin and blue eyes. One of them had the essence of the Wolf, and the other, the essence of the serpent, judging by the elaborate dresses they wore. The serpent wraith wielded a magical rifle with infinite percent accurate aim and infinite ammunition.
"Are they whom the Mistress spoke of, Morgana?" the serpentine one asked.
"It seems so," Morgana replied, "Caitlyn, the serpentine one."
"They are," the Mistress's voice replied, "so do my bidding."
"Yes, Mistress," Morgana replied, "We shall."
