"You are back!" Jalil sprang up from the chair and quickly walked to hug Evelyn who gasped from the sudden force of it.

Eve tapped his shoulder lightly till he let go, still grinning at her. "Yes, I'm back and still very much alive."

Jalil fidgeted, obviously too happy to see her. "I was worried that he would not keep to his words and that I was going to have no choice than to do something."

Evelyn smiled, pulled out a chair and sat down then glanced around the cafeteria. "Where are the others?"

Jalil sat down next to her and replied. "They should be here soon... I guess." Then he tilted his head to the side, observing her.

Evelyn who noticed, gave him a confused look. "What are you doing?"

"Did he bite you?" He stretched his hand towards her and gently pushed her hair away from her face and over her shoulder to look at her neck.

She smiled nervously. "No, he would never do that." She adjusted her hair into place and pulled Jalil's tray in front of her and began to eat his food while he watched her.

"I was actually going to call the cops if I didn't see you today. I couldn't stand the incessant questions about your whereabouts anymore."

"You and I know that the cops wouldn't believe you. As far as they are all concerned, vampires are nothing but myths." Evelyn stated and Jalil shrugged.

"Um...Ramsey also asked of you..."

Evelyn stopped eating at that moment, the spoon hanging limp in her fingers, surprised that her ex boyfriend who had hardly spoken a word to her since their breakup would ask after her. "What for?"

Jalil shrugged again. "I don't know but the jerk said he wanted to speak with you, that it was urgent."

"About what?" She asked again.

"I don't know..." Jalil answered impatiently. "Stop questioning me as if I can read minds...here he comes!" He suddenly said and turned to face the table.

Evelyn turned just in time to see Ramsey pulling a chair out and sitting next to her. "Hi." He beamed at her and she just stared at him in surprise and confusion.

"What is it you want? This ain't your table." She told him tersely.

He chuckled softly. "I'm aware... I just wanted to speak with you about something."

Evelyn glanced over her shoulder at Laura and her friends who were across the cafeteria and Laura was glaring at her. She turned back to look at Ramsey who said. "Ignore her, she will get over it."

"Did you tell her the same thing about me when you first fucked her?" Evelyn asked, angry at his selfish attitude. "What are you telling Daphne now?" She saw Ramsey's eyes widen in shock that she knew his dirty secret. "...that she's the best thing that ever happened to you? Typical!"

Ramsey managed to keep his smile on. "So it's indeed you I saw at the club three nights ago... You were the last person I'd expect to go to such a place, Evy."

"Don't call me that!" She snapped and pointed a warning finger at him. "And you own no right whatsoever to tell me where I'm supposed to be or not."

"Hey!... C'mon bae, I am only looking out for you." Ramsey said softly.

"You look out for nobody but yourself, Ramsey!" She countered.

Ramsey sighed, realizing that he was not going to get through to her. "Fine! I'll just ask you what I want to and get done with it already."
