"You are definitely crazy!" Sharon said.
"I told her that too." Jalil said.
"That club is crawling with drug addicts and psychos." Kane stated.
"My cousin got raped there." Anna said uneasily.
Evelyn sighed. "I know all these but if clubs are where I can find him, then I have to. I have to start with this club.
"Somebody should tell her that going after a vampire is suicidal." Jalil suggested angrily.
"I have made up my mind and there's no going back." Evelyn said stubbornly.
"Do you realize Ramsey would be there?" Sharon asked in a soft voice now. "You are so not ready to meet him right now, neither are you prepared to see the shits that goes on in Reno's club."
"I'll be strong, I believe I have been through worse." Evelyn said, more to assure herself. When her friends gave her a doubtful look, she sagged her shoulders and leaned back against the seat. "Fine, if it will keep you guys from worrying about me, Jalil can come along."
"There's no way I'm gonna do that! It's like putting a noose around my neck, myself." Jalil protested.
"If that's the case, Ramsey and the others will be dead by now. All we have to do is to keep our heads low and go unnoticed. If you still refuse to come with me, I'll go with or without you."
Jalil clenched his jaw for a brief moment, mad at Evelyn's stubbornness. He scanned the expectant faces of the others and heaved a sigh. "Okay, but if something goes wrong, don't say I didn't warn you." He stood and walked away.
Evelyn smiled in triumph and her smile slowly died when she saw the stern looks of the others fixed on her. She slowly pushed back her seat and said uneasily, standing up. "I should probably go after Jalil now."
"Your curiosity will be the death of you someday, Eve." Sharon said.
"Thanks, I'm quite aware of that."Evelyn said, grabbing her jacket from the back rest of the chair.
"You are one crazy girl, just keep your toes up. Like Mr Yin said, there are vampires out there, don't wander off without Jalil, I really do detest putting on mourning clothes." Kane advised.
"What can Jalil do against a vamp? Stake him?" Anna inquired.
"What?" Kane shrugged. "He's a man, I'm sure he could take on one of them." He simply said.
"A mere man against an immortal, are you by any chance stupid?" Anna frowned in displeasure and irritation.
Evelyn glanced from Kane to Anna. "Alright, alright, enough already. No one's gonna be drinking my blood tonight nor Jalil's so you guys should just stop quibbling."
Anna turned to her and smiled. "When you find a vampire, come feed me vivid details on what they look like. I heard they are extremely handsome, like fallen angels." She finished dreamily.
"Snap out of it!" Kane snapped at her. "Our Cadaver looked otherwise. He even had a bald head."
"Is that jealousy I sense there?" Anna inquired. "Because if it is, dude, I'll trample it!"
"Enough already!" Sharon yelled. "Both of you will make a great couple! You argue too much and it's beginning to give me an headache."
"Perhaps it's because I still reek of her vomit!" Kane stated.
"Like hell you do! You have always reeked before I even lost control of my insides!" Anna retorted.
Evelyn rolled her eyes in frustration when she noticed both were not going to stop arguing. "Look guys, I'm off, see you later." She said and hurried away with the argument still going on.
