After Champion (Complete)

Day (Chapter 2)

We finally reach Tess's apartment. I knock on the door. The door swings open and I see a much older Tess. She has changed a lot in the last ten years. She is much taller but has some curves, and has longer hair. Within the door being open I am attacked with a hug.
"Day! I've missed you so much!" Tess's yells.
" I missed you too cousin." Tess's let's go of me and looks to the left and see's Eden.
" Eden" She gives Eden hug. While Tess is hugging him I see Eden's face turns bright red. Tess and Eden? Tess lets go of Eden and looks to the right and see's June.
" June?" She with confusion written all over her face.
June raises an eyebrow " Yep, found Day at the train station"
Tess just shrugs and invites us into her apartment. Next thing I see a tall guy is setting the table. June runs over to him and tackles him to the ground. She pins his arms above his head.
"Where were you to today?! You didn't call about being sick or anything. I had to do all your paperwork and do all your practices." Eden, me, and Pasco are laughing. Tess rolls her eyes.
" June your the only...girl...who...would...do...this" Pasco say between laughs. June narrows his eyes at him. Pasco stops laughing, but couldn't stop smiling." To answer your question, I had some training today. They said the would call, but guess they didn't." Pasco uses his knee to push June off.
" June! That wasn't very lady, like!" Tess's scolds like a mom, even though June is older.

"Tess went am I ever lady, like." June raises an eyebrow. Tess rolls her eyes and starts walking to the dining room table. We all follow her. Tess stops in  mid-step and turns around.

"Happy birthday June!" Tess yells and envelopes June in a hug.

June smiles "Could ou be any louder, but thank you" June returns the hug. Damn it, if I knew it was June's birthday I would have brought a gift. We all sit down at the table. Pasco on the end. Eden and Tess sit next to each. Eden and Tess? Tess would be great for Eden. She's nice, caring. There were only two seats left, so June and I sit next to each other. I feel my heart beat get faster, but I don't know why. Tess serves dinner. Ham,mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls. Been while since I had a home cooked meal. It was amazing. After, dinner we have cake. We turn off all the lights and sing happy birthday to June. Threw out the whole song, my eyes are glued to June's eyes. With the lights off and the flame, as the only source of light June's are sparking like, stars in the Sky. We eat are cake, which it was amazing. June looks down at her watching.

"Well, I think it's time for me to head out.It pretty late and I got to get up early tomorrow." She rising from her seat and puts on her black winter coat and her gloves, and finally her hat. She clearly looks the part of a Republic commander.

"Maybe one someone should walk you home June. It's not safe at this time of day."

"Tess, I'll be fine. I have a phone and I got my gun on me."

"Remember, the time when you got attacked when you were walking home from work," Tess  says with a raised eyebrow.

"Tess, I was 20 years old and I fought him off and threw him behind bars."

"Still, who whats to walk June home?"

Without even thinking. "I will"I rise from my seat grab my coat and we head out. Though out the whole way to her apartment we talk. I learn June's age, that she has a family, but they were killed. We arrived at June's apartment building too fast. We walk up the staircase. We stop at her front door.

"Well, thanks for walking me home, Day," She says with a genuine smile. 

I couldn't stop looking at her lips before, but when she smiled it made me go crazy. Without out even knowing I'm leaning in to meet June's lips. June is shocked at first, but responses to the kiss. The kiss becomes more passionate. She wraps her arms around neck, I put my hands on her hips and pull her close, so there is no space between us. I push her up against her apartment door. Her hands running through my hairs. I have to pull away. Not that I want to, but I ran out of breath. I rest my head in head. She smells so good. 

"Well, I...better..go...work....is....early..." She shutters. I smile. I kiss her neck and she lets out a sign. This.Girl.

"I'll let you get some sleep. Goodnight June. Sleep well"I let go of her and watch her go inside her apartment. It hurt to walk away from her apartment because I just wanted to continue kissing June. I felt like I wasn't empty anymore. The whole way back to Tess's apartment all I could think about was June. When I get back to Tess's apartment I don't even brother knock I just walk in and find a Tess and Eden making out.

"You two can't seem to keep your hands off each other"

Right, when the first word came out of my mouth they jump away from each other, Not to mention with blushing faces. Eden says bye to Tess and grabs his coat. I, the wonderful brother I am I pick on him.

"Dang, you two couldn't keep your paws off each other"

"Stop" Eden mumbles.

"You got the hots for Tess"I wiggle my eyebrows.

"Stop it Day," Eden says with anger in his voice. We make it back to the apartment building.

"You two dating?" 

"Daniel! Stop teasing me!" Eden yells.

"Fine, I'll stop"

"I'm going to bed, Daniel"

"Sleep well little brother. You going to dream about Tess?"

"Daniel!"

I run into my apartment before Eden kills me.

I head to bed. I think about Jue. That kiss. It was so natural. Sure, I've kissed a few other girls, but June is different. I end up falling asleep with a smile on my face
