Day (Chapter 14)

Everything in town is going fine. There aren't many enemy soldiers getting into town because from what I've heard we have pushed the back very far. Which, makes my job and the others really easy. It's kind of boring, till I get a call from Anden.

 Right, when I see I have a call from Anden I answer right away.

"Cap.." I get cut off.

" Day, stop being so formal. Get to my office now."

" What..."

"Day. Come to office "

" Anden..."

" Day! June has been captured by the enemy!" Right, when he finishes that sentence it felt like everything stopped or everything was in slow motion. All I think about is June but I'm knocked back into reality.

" Day!" Anden yells through the phone.

" I'm on my way" I run to my car, Like I'm running for my life, but I am running for my life because June is my life. I speed all the way to Anden's office. Once, I'm there I  run to his office and I don't even bother knocking.

Anden looks up when I enter. He looks worried and stressed. I walk to a seat and sit. " How did she get captured?" 

"I called some captains and I they know there was a bomb. June helped the injured soldiers to safety. She went back, and then a few hours of pushing Austraila back. One captain had to ask her something, but couldn't find. I found where she is being held. Through her tracker in her gun, I found out she is being held in Australia at the military base on the last floor." Anden speaks with a bit of anger in his voice. Why wouldn't he be anger? His commander that has made his military amazing has been capture, but at the same time, I'm pissed. His tone of voice also sounds like he's very protective of June. Like, June is his, but he's got it all wrong. I don't make that comment because I need to focus on getting June back safely. Anden continues explaining. "I've gotten a group together to go get June, but there's one problem"

My heart beat increases when those words come out of his mouth "Like?" 

" The Australian commander has been blackmailing us" Anden say while making his hand into a fist.

"With?" My jaw tightens.

" Want to see for yourself" Anden ask. I nod my head. Anden walks out of his office, while I follow. We walk into a conference room with a Tv. Anden put a flash drive on the side and turns on the Tv. My heart hurts from what I'm was seeing.June is tied up to a chair. She looks terrible and looks like she in unimaginable pain. Her hair is out of it's sleek, ponytail. Her uniform is very ruffled. Her sleeves have been rolled up.  Her uniform also has blood on it. Her wrists are all red and bruised from the ropes, that must be tied very tight. She has cuts on her face and bruises on her arms. The commander is asking her questions, but June doesn't answer. He starts with slapping but continues it to get worse, till she knocked out. The commander turns around to the camera.

"Anden, or should I say Elector. We have your prized jewel. If you want her alive then surrender." He takes the gun from his pocket and sets it on the table. " You have 24 hours. Elector" He says with a smile, but not a happy smile. A smile of the devil. Then the Tv goes black.

" The problem with spending a team is if he finds out he will shoot June," Anden says with a serious tone and angered face. " We can't surrender. June would not be happy, also Austraila would destroy the Republic. So we have no choice, but to spend the team."

"Anden she will get killed," I say with anger in my voice.

" Day, we have two choices. Save June or surrender, then June continues to be tortured, then killed. I know he's lying, saying they will hand over June if we surrender. I know for a fact he won't. They will just continue to use that threat to destroy the Republic. We have to spend our team." I just nod my head. Anden makes a call to spend the team. Me and Anden just stay in the conference room waiting for news. Good or bad.

Hours Later...

We have have been waiting for hours for a call from the team. I start to think to is dead, till Anden phone rings. Anden answer right away. The call lasts for about five minutes.

" They rescued her, but she's barely alive." Anden says with fear and anger in voice.
