Day (Chapter 12)

I wake up to see June isn't there. She must have gone in early. That girl is crazy, but I love her. I roll out bed and get ready for work. I head to work and I get there within minutes. I go to the front desk and ask where June is. I find out that she is teaching a training session. I walk up the stair to the observation area. I see June running them through something. I look closer and I June doesn't look any better. She is still pale and flushed. She has dark bags under her eyes. Like, she didn't get any sleep last night and on top of that she looks stressed. The training session lasts for about 30 minutes, till hear a loud boom. I don't think much of it, till sirens start going off. I see June become panic. 

She puts her hand up to her ear. Like, she talking on the phone. Once, she is finishes she yells " Austraila has attacked! Time for war!" Everyone runs out of the training from. I run down the stairs to be welcomed with yelling, and people putting on war front uniforms. I throw on mine. Grab my MK 18 Mod 0 CQB and bag. I run out of the building and see soldiers everywhere, but one soldier stands out. One with a long brown ponytail talking to someone and looks frustrated and looks like she is going to beat the hell out that soldier any second. She rolls her eyes. She runs to one to trunks that soldiers are getting into. No, she can't go. I run after her. I catch right when was about to close the trunk door. I grab her arm and pull her to me.

" You can't..." I get cut off.

"Day, I have to go" I close my eyes and close the distance between us and hug her.

" June p-please...I c-can't loose..y-you" I stutter. My emotions are just so raw at this moments and I don't cares who see's. All that matters right now is June.

" Day," She lifts her head from my chest and I see her beautiful brown sparkling eyes. " I'm not going to die. My whole military and me have been trained. We will be fine.  I promise you I will come back alive."

" Just..P-please come home" I whisper. I wasn't even sure if June heard my voice. She must of because she takes my face in hands. She looked into my eyes for a few seconds and meets my lips. It's a slow passionate kiss. The fact that she may not come is still in my mind. I kiss her like it's the last time I will see and kiss her. She pulls away and rests her head on my shoulder.

" I love you, June" I whisper while pecking her lips.

" I love you, too" June smiles " Well, I think I head to go" I peck her lips one more time. Then, let her go. I watch her jump in and right before she closes the door she winks at me. 

Please come home safe June. I need you. I love you
