June (Chapter 16)

After weeks of recovery. I'm finally allowed to go back to work. I'm currently in my office reading over the peace treaty; Anden needs me to sign. I've read it over and over just to make sure I agree with everything that is in the peace treaty.Want the Republic wants and has agreed to for peace is we get ten trillion (just thought of a number) dollars. Most of their oil, which out oil it won't allow them to have a military. After reading it so many times I finally sign it. After, that I do a bit of paperwork, till I had a training session to teach. I ran through the normal prosecutors. After, about an hour of training the soldiers all walk out, but I stay back to put stuff away. I'm putting weights and other stuff on shelves I a door open and look over to see Day walk over to me. He tries to give me a hug but put a hand on his chest to stop him.

" Day, I'm all sweaty," I say with a raised eyebrow.  

" I don't care" After that he gives me a big hug.

" You ok?"

" I'm great. I was just wondering if I could take you out to dinner" He asks with hope in his eyes.

" Sure, let me go back to my apartment and get ready. Where are we going?"  I ask while putting away more stuff.

" The steak restaurant up the street. Wear a dress June" He leans down to kiss my forehead and walks out. After putting all the stuff away I head home to shower and get ready. After, my shower I walk into the closet to decide what I'm going to wear. I decide to wear a red knee length dress. I throw my hair up in a high ponytail. Lucky, Tess wasn't here. She would have curled my hair or something. After tying my thick brown hair up I decided to wear some simple black heels I've only worn a few times. I make some coffee to kill some time, till Day comes to pick me up. I drink about half a cup of coffee, till I hear a knock on the door. I put on my black coat. I open the door to find a very well-dressed Day. He was wearing black dress pant with a white bottom down, and black dress shoes. To finish off his look his blonde hair was combed back, and he was wearing a black coat like mine. Well, I was looking at him I never noticed his eyes were wide.

" Red looks good on you June" Days with a smile while reaching for my hand and leading us outside. It was raining, so we ran to the car. Day open's the passenger side, then ran over to his sided. It was a very short drive to the restaurant. We get to our table. Day is busy looking at what he wants to notice me looking at him. I see Day's hand shaking a little bit of sweat on his forehead. I take his hand, which causes him to look up.

" You ok?" I ask worriedly.

Day gives me a fake smile and just nobs his head. I decided not to bug him about it. We order our food and make some small talk during dinner about work; and other normal stuff.  After out meal; I notice Day hands are shaking even more. He helps me with putting my coat on and he put on his.I started walked to car, but Day takes my hand and starts pulling me into town. Before, I could ask where were going Day answers my question.

" Let's take a walk into town" Day's smiles that reaches his beautiful ocean blue eyes.

It was sprinkling as were walking. We walked for a bit, till we reach a park. Day and I sit down on a bench enjoying the piece and quiet. I lay my head on his should, till he gets up and before I could ask why he is down on one knee. My eyes widen.                                      

" June, there has been something missing in my life for ten years. It was you that was missing. You make me laugh, happy. Your smile makes my day. Your the bravest as hell and scare the crap out of my at times, but I love you so much. There are no word to describe how much I love you." I start getting tears in my eyes. The most beautiful man is down on one knee asking me to marry him. " Would do the honor of taking my last name and spending the rest of your life with me." He asks with a glint of hope in his eyes.

Without even thinking " Yes!" I jump into his arms. I see the biggest smile appear in Day's face. " Thank you so much much" With that Day grab my face and are lips meet. I've dreamt of Day coming back and all this happening, but this is way better than all my dream because it's real.

(I was watching The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian when writing this. Amazing movie!)
