30 - pool time hapiness

"IF I DIE BEFORE I WAKE. AT LEAST IN HEAVEN I CAN SKATE!" I screamed across the side of the pool.

"Ava what the fuck is this trash." Luke shouted at me, referring to the music I had blasting from my speaker.

"This 'trash' is my jam now shut up and let me sing." I retorted.

"Sassy much babe." Ash winked at me. Suddenly Luke tackled me, prying my phone from my grasp.

"Yesss!" He cheered, scrolling through my song list.
Drown by Bring Me The Horizon started blasting and all of us cheered.

"WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU, MAKES YOU WISH YOU WERE DEAD!" All of us screamed at the top of our lungs. 

A timid man scurried towards us, his head hanging.

"Excuse me." He squeaked, not attracting any attention from our noisy bunch.

"Excuse me." He tried again.

"Ash." I nudged Ash getting his attention turned towards the man.

"Guys shut up a minute." Ash shouted to the guys who immediately quietened down.

"Are you alright sir?" Ash asked.

"We've had a few complaints.." He sighed. "Concerning your noise levels."

"What about it." Mikey laughed.

"It's disturbing some of the guests, so if you could turn it down it would be most appreciated." He turned on his heels and left us all laughing.

The song was still playing in the background but more quietly as Ash had turned it down.

"It comes in waves, I close my eyes
Hold my breath and let it bury me." Luke whisper shouted across to us, making me break out into a fit of giggles.

It seemed like we all had the same idea as at the same time we all burst out singing.

"WHO WILL FIX ME NOW, DIVE IN WHEN IM DOWN!"

We were all in stitches, our giggles ringing out across the poolside.

"Av come here I need some help." Ash pouted. I heaved myself up off the sunbed and walked over to him.

"What's up sweetie." I asked, kissing his cheek.

"I can't reach can you jus-" suddenly I was swooped over his shoulder, my legs kicked air.

"Your going in!" He yelled playfully.

"No!" I screamed.

A moment later I was in the freezing water, trying to catch my breath as I came up to the surface.

Ash was fighting for his own breath as he laughed on the pool side.

"Help me out." I pouted, holding out my hand.

"DON'T DO IT!" Mikey screamed, floating around in a blow up donut.

"IT'S THE OLDEST TRICK IN THE BOOK!" Calum laughed.

"Please Ashy, I'm cold." I shivered. He held out his hand for me and I latched onto it. I made out like I was getting out but at the last minute pulled him in with me.

"I hate you." He pouted when he came up to the surface.

"Hate you too sweetie." I teased.

Ashton's arm found my waist and he squeezed my hip, causing a gasp from me. He brought me closer to him until we were chest to chest. He looked into my eyes and then down to my lips and back up again. The tension was well... tense.

Finally, after what seemed like years, his lips slammed into mine and he kissed me passionately. We both smiled into the kiss and I pulled away shyly.

Ash groaned.

"Spoilsport." He said.

"Just wait til later."

"Wait what's happening later?"

"I don't know just wanted to created suspense. Dun dun dun." I sang jokingly.

"How about later, you and I go on a date?"

"Sure."

If before I didn't know what happy was, I sure do now. Being with these guys made me happy. They brought me out of the darkest time of my life, they all helped me through it. I had so much to Thank them for. Especially Ashton, who taught me to love myself again, just how I should do.
