2 days before tour started. Ashton invited me out for coffee with him. I accepted cautiously, scared it could be some sort of trap. Of course it wasn't. Because me and Ash were "best friends" as he called it.

So we went for coffee. It was a simple coffee shop with a homely feel. It wasn't too far from the hotel so it was a pleasant walk.

"So tell me why you invited me out today." I asked Ashton as I sipped on my coffee.

"I just thought it was over due." He replied. Silence fell over us but it wasn't the awkward one, it was pretty comfortable.

Me and Ash launched into conversation after a while, we talked about anything and everything.

After half an hour, a girl who looked the same age as me and Ash came up to the table we were sat at and introduced herself.

"Hey I'm Kristen, I'm such a huge fan of your band Ash and Ava I love your films. I can't believe your going on tour with the boys though." She babbled to us as she pulled a chair up to our table.

"Awh thank you hunni that means a lot to us." I told her.

"Yeah it's great to meet you too Kris." Ash automatically gave her a nickname, her face lit up at this.

"Uh I know this sounds rude and shit but can I interview you guys?"

"Oh um okay." I stuttered, still not used to being asked this.

"Okay thanks, let me just get set up." I smiled at her, as I sent a questioning look towards Ashton who responded with an excited grin.

Kristen set up her camera on the table in front of us, resting it on a little tripod.

"So are you a youtuber or something." I asked, trying to make conversation.

"Yeah you could say that. I do some covers and stuff but that's mainly it." She replied, shrugging her shoulders.

"You sing?!" Ashton exclaimed suddenly, scaring the shit out of me.

"Just a little bit, not much." She said modestly.

"Sing for me." Ashton urged her.

"Oh no I couldn't, not here." She shied away.

"Please. We could always turn it into an acoustic hangout, Ava's got her guitar." Ashton pouted at her, trying to convince her with his puppy dog eyes.

"Fine. But what do I sing."

"Whatever comes to your head first." I told her softly.

"Oh, can I borrow your guitar?"

"Sure." I picked up the guitar and handed it her. She carefully took it out the case and held it on her lap.

Her fingers softly plucked at the strings, a gentle melody coming from the beautiful instrument.

And then she started singing. A beautiful voice from such a small girl, left me astounded. The lyrics also hit hard.

"You think she's out of your league

And it plays on your mind

Look around, look around, look around

She's one of a kind

If she's all by herself and she's looking at you

You gotta build up the courage to do what you gotta do

But you see your reflection

And you fill up with doubt

And the words don't come easy to the girl who stands out

No the words don't come easy to the girl who stands out

You know I think it's obvious

Beautiful girls are the loneliest

So next time you see one that you can't resist

Remember, beautiful girls are the loneliest

Beautiful girls are the loneliest..."

Halfway through Kristen singing, Ashton had brought his phone out and had started recording discreetly. Other members of the coffee shop had started to watch and clapped when Kris had finished.

"Thankyou." She gushed, waving at the customers clapping.

"I don't want to jump to conclusions right now, so please don't think that this is concrete but that was amazing and I'm pretty sure there would be a place at Hi or Hey for you, just let me talk to the boys." Kristen's face broke out into a grin.

"You're joking me aren't you?" She questioned.

"Like I said, don't hold me to it but you've got a pretty good shot."

"Oh my god, thank you so much." She squealed, launching herself to Ashton and squeezing him very hard.

"This is what I live for." He whispered in her ear, but I just managed to hear it. Just.

Girl in the photo is who plays Kristen. Have great ideas for this book.
