Aubree POV
The rest of the day dragged on and I realized that the new guy, whose name i had already forgotten, turned out to be in 2 more of my classes.
He would walk in and an overly exited student would ask to show him around or offer the seat next to them.
He seemed to not give a rats ass where or who he was sitting next to. I guess that made 2 of us.
I sat outside the building to my next class and I was so ready to head home.
Right as the thought crosses my mind I see the one person I'd hope to avoid.
I duck my head and pretended to be grabbing something out of my backpack in hopes of having him ignore me and carry on, that doesn't work in my favor.
"Hey Bree"
He greeted, my heart sunk at the nickname.
"Don't call me Bree and get out of my way"
I attempted to walk away but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back. My skin burned at his touch but it was no longer in a good way.
"I've always called you that, can we please talk?"
I scoffed, shoved him off my arm and faced him
"Don't touch me unless you want me to knee you in the balls, don't call me nicknames, don't even look at me, stay at least 30 feet away, we have nothing to talk about."
I walked away fast and prayed my tears would stay at bay, I had wasted way too many tears on Elijah Coleman.
I would no longer allow myself to do that.
I hurried off to History and ended up bumping into another body causing me to stumble back.
An arm reached over and kept me from falling. It wasn't any other than the new kid himself.
As he stood in front of me I realized that he didn't have blue eyes, they were a pretty hazel, almost green.
It stood out, most blondes have blue eyes, it somehow made him more attractive.
I snapped out of it and realized I'd been gawking at his face for about 30 seconds straight.
I blushed and looked down before muttering a quick "sorry".
I was shit at talking to guys and attractive ones were just out of the question. I looked up only to see a smirk plastered across his face with a hint of amusement.
It reminded me of Elijah, the same look would constantly cover his face, my whole demeanor changed.
I was suddenly filled with anger and practically ran out of his way, heading to class. Over confident asshole.
Micah POV
I was reading my schedule and trying to figure out how to get to my science class when I felt someone collide against my chest.
I realized it was the brunette from my first class and I grabbed her arm to keep her from falling back.
She was short and it was kind of amusing to keep her from falling, she looked up and seemed to be staring at my eyes for a few awkward seconds.
I just stood there and let her take it in, I had put the poor girl in some sort of trance.
She seemed to realize she stared for more than was necessary and she blushed looking down while apologizing.
I smirked at her and she looked up at me. In the span of two seconds she seemed to go from shy school girl to enraged bitch, glaring at me and shoving past me.
What the fuck had just happened?
Psycho.
I realized I was going to be late again so I headed off in the direction of my next class.
I walked into the classroom and once again every set of eyes was on me, when was the last time these people saw a new face around here?
I walk towards the middle of the classroom where I recognize a cute brunette from my first class and I decide to sit next to her.
She had caught my attention when she turned around and gave me a sneaky smile in English. She was more interesting that the little boring professor that's for sure.
"Hey I'm Micah"
I set my books next to her desk.
She smiles at me and extends her hand to shake.
"I know, I'm Chloe"
I sit down and she starts asking me all kinds of questions. I respond to her as nicely as I can since I've answered these questions a million different times today.
"Well it's nice to have you around Micah, I've grown up with half the people here since kindergarten."
I laugh because that's insane
"You mean to tell me you know every single person at this school?"
"No of course not, but I know faces. We all know when there's someone new around."
I nod my head and she continues
"Anyway if you ever wanna have a good time you know where to find it"
She gives me a flirty smile and hands me a piece of paper with her number on it.
She looks to the front as the professor walks in.
That was almost too easy, not that I'm complaining.
She was beautiful but I liked a challenge, not a snobby stuck up girl or anything just something I had to work for.
I look towards the front and start paying attention to the lecture.
