Chapter 8
Sighing, I looked in the mirror for one last time. My hair was lightly curled and I had on a high-low dress that was denim at the top and floral from the ribs down. I had matched it with brown combat boots. I had light makeup on to finish the look.
Grabbing my bag, a car horn honked. Smiling, I skipped down the stairs and threw open the front door jogging down the front path only to find Jill and Alyssa in the car.
With a confused expression, I climbed into the back of the car, "Hey?"
"Liam had this Alpha thing he had to go to. He'll be back at school around lunch and will still be driving you home," Jill chirped.
I nodded, "Well thanks for giving me a ride!"
"No problem!" She smiled through the rear view mirror. Alyssa had remained silent. I was still getting this vibe that she didn't like me at all.
We pulled into the parking lot and climbed out of the car. Cat ran up to us, "No Danny?"
"Danny's probably with Jason right now," I shook my head.
Jill nodded, "Most likely."
We walked into the school building and over to our lockers, Drew joining me at his locker right next to mine.
"So, how was your day yesterday?" He asked, leaning against his locker.
I smiled, "It was very nice."
He quirked an eyebrow, "Care to elaborate?"
"Maybe," I teased and he rolled his eyes.
Grabbing my stuff, we began making our way to art, "Okay, because you're dressed so gorgeously and you're practically glowing, something tells me you met a certain someone."
"Look who's got a brain!" I taunted as we walked into the room and sat down in the back of the class.
"Just tell me already!" He said exasperated.
I smiled, "I met my mate."
"Give me all the juicy details!" He clapped.
Laughing, I shook my head at his excitement, "It's Liam. I figured it out in class yesterday and I kinda ran away and then he came to my house after school and then, well, we kissed and we told his parents and then his mom, Jill and I made lasagna then he and I just sat outside together and he took me home then kissed me goodnight," I shrugged at the end.
"OH EM GEE!" Drew squealed and I laughed.
"Drew your gay is showing!" I joked and he stuck his tongue out at me.
I laughed and the bell rang, signalling the start of class.
"Thank god!" Cat exclaimed as we left fifth period, "I'm starving and that was the most boring math lesson ever!"
"You say that about every math lessons, Cat," I chuckled.
Shrugging, she took a left and I kept going straight, opening my locker and putting my books in it. Drew came by my side and offered me his arm, "Shall we, miss?"
"We shall," I mocked his British accent.
We walked into the cafeteria and over to the lunch line, joining Danny and Alyssa.
I faked surprise, "Is that really Danny!?"
She scrunched up her nose, "Sarcasm not necessary!"
"Neither is making out with my brother every two seconds," I shot back, smirking.
Danny just rolled her eyes in response. Alyssa moved forwards in the line, but I didn't miss the smile on her face.
