Surprises

Chapter 10

I looked at the clock. 7:40! "Erin, can we leave?" It takes 15 minutes to get there. "Yeah, I think I should head home too." The good thing was that Erin lived by cherry berry. I dropped her off then as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, Jarrid pulled up next to me. He got out of the car, as did i, and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. We walked in to get frozen yogurt and stayed there until 9.

We walked out, hand in hand. "I had fun tonight" I said. He shook his head in agreement. "I hope we can go on another date soon" he said, staring into my eyes. He leaned in and kissed me. This time it wasn't my cheek. It was my lips. Sparks flew. I got butterflies in my stomach. I've never felt like this before. It was...perfect.

"So um..." He started. I cleared my throat. "Thanks for tonight Jarrid." I said and smiled. "Anything for a beautiful girl like you." I blushed, then we headed towards our cars. We drive off to our houses. The rest of the year, we hung out every Wednesday night at 8.

It was now the middle of the year. Things were serious between Jarrid and I. I couldn't wait till second period to go to gym and be with him. Although Jarrid hasn't asked me out yet, he called me 'babe' or 'sweetheart' or other mushy names. We held hands and would kiss every once in a while.

"Awe! Their so cute together!" Erin exclaimed. "I guess" Tyler said. "Well I hate it. Ever since she started hanging out with that, thing, she hasn't texted me or called me. She used to do that all the time." Ashton said depressed. "I told you to ask her out before it's too late." Tyler added. "Ty, leave him alone." Erin said hitting his arm.

"Hey guys!" I said. "Hey Megan, where's Jarrid?" Erin asked. "Oh, he had a dentist appointment today so he left early" I replied, sitting down next to Ashton. "I was thinking, since I know everyone is free tonight, wanna come over and watch a movie at my place?" I asked, hoping they would say yes. "Yeah" Erin and Tyler said. "Uh, sure" Ash replied. "Great!" I started. "How about 7? Then we can order pizza?" I finished. "Yeah, but what movie are we going to watch?" Cameron asked. "No scary movies!" Erin and I said. "Then no chick flicks!" Tyler and Ash replied. We just laughed. "Haha ok" I said. We made a list of movies like 'Safe Haven' or 'Saw'. We finally came up with a movie between chick flick and scary, but the boys didn't know that. "I got it! How about 'Warm Bodies' ?" "Oh! That's a good movie!" Erin said. "I guess" Tyler said. "That's fine with me" Ash added. "Great! Then 7o'clock at my house, be there!" I laughed as I said that. "Got it" they all replied.

The rest of the day felt like a drag. I kept checking my phone to see if Jarrid had texted me' but nothing. He never said anything to me. I started to get worried...
