Chapter 13

It was 9 o'clock and I was doing my homework, trying to forget about Jarrid. I got a text and thought it was from him. "Ash?" I whispered and read the message. 'I have movies and candy,can you let me in?' I laughed, he always knows how to cheer me up. My parents loved Ash and they wanted my to date him. He was my best friend,but no one knew that I actually liked him.

I told my parents that Ashton was here and they didn't mind. They just said 'ok' then went in their room to watch tv. I opened the door and hugged him and he hugged me back. I started to sob and he pulled me into his chest. He told me not to cry then lifted my head up and smiled, wiping away a few tears. Once we stopped hugging, we walked in and I closed the door. We walked in my room and Alex took out my favorite movie. 'Beauty and the Beast'. "Thanks for doing this Ash." I said as we laid on my bed. "It's no big deal Megan." "Yes it is. I should have listened to you." I sat up and he did the same. We sat in silence and watched the movie. After a while, alex spoke up.

"Megan, I have to tell you something." I chuckled, "what? For how stupid I was for falling for a jerk?" I said, almost crying again. He cupped my face in his hands and looked me in the eyes. "Megan, I've wanted to tell you this for a long time," he started and blushed. "Ash wha-" before I could finish, he pressed his lips to mine. We say in silence for a few seconds before he finished. "Megan, you are gorgeous. You're not afraid to show your personality and you're fun to hang around with, Jarrid doesn't deserve you or your respect." I was shocked. My best friend just told me he likes me and I feel the same way. "I was blushing and had the biggest smile on my face. "So Megan," he started again. I think I know what he's going to ask. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I wanted to scream! My best friend just asked me out. Instead of answering, I smiled and kissed him again. Once we pulled away, he spoke. "I'll take that as a yes." He said smiling. "Of course Ashton!" I said, rather loud. He put his hand over my mouth because it was now 11 and my parents had fallen asleep. "Haha sorry" I said blushing. "It's ok" he laughed. We spent the rest of the night watching movies. We fell asleep cuddling.

I woke up the next morning in his arms. "Goodmorning Gorgeous" he said smiling. I giggled. "Goodmorning indeed."
