Chapter 17

Prom night! Erin came to my house and we got ready together. Once we got our hair and makeup done, we slid into our dresses. We looked in the mirror for a good 15 minutes. "You look amazing!" We said to each other. "What time are the guys supposed to pick us up?" I asked Erin. "Um, I'm pretty sure it's 8 o'clock." "Ok."

"How do I look?" Ashton asked Tyler. "Good, what about me?" Tyler asked. "Good. I hope I don't embarrass Megan." Ash said. "You won't bro" Tyler reassured him. "I hope so, do you have Erin's corsage?" Ash asked. "Got the best one with the red rose" he said with a smile. "Do you have Megan's?" "Yep, this was the best one with a teal rose." Ash smiled at the thought of him and his girlfriend were going to prom together. "Ready to pick up our ladies?" Tyler asked smirking. "Let's go" Ashton said laughing.

It was 8 o'clock. The boys pulled up in front of my house. Their jaws dropped once they saw us at the top of the stairs. "Hey Ashton." I said smiling.

"wow! You look incredible."he said walking up the stairs. "My babe cleans up nice" Erin said, winking at Tyler. "Only for you love" Tyler winked back. Once all the pictures were taken, we headed for prom.

"This will be a night to remember" I said and everyone agreed. "Wait, you guys are forgetting something!" "What?" We asked. "Your corsages maybe?" We looked down at our wrists. Duh! Once the boys out our corsages on our wrists we kissed them. "Now, who's ready to go to prom?" Tyler asked.

We walk into school and everyone is looking at us. "What are they staring at?" I asked. "Their just jealous that that can't have your girls" Ash said winking at me. I blushed. "How did I get so lucky to have you?" I asked leaning my head on his shoulder. "I should be asking you that." He smirked then kissed me.

We get onto the dance floor and they play a slow song. Perfect!

"May I have this dance my love?" Tyler asked Erin, holding out his hand. "Of course you may." she giggled and took his hand. "Would you care to dance?" Ash asked, coping Tyler gesture. "I'd love to" I smiled.

We walk out to the dance floor and dance. I put my head on Ashton's chest and he put his arms around my waist, holding me close. "This is perfect" Ash said. "It is" I smiled then kissed him.

"Testing testing 1...2...3..." Who was at the microphone? "hello everybody," our principal Mr. Smith. "Before I announce prom king and queen, I just wanted to say this is the best class i've ever had in my 37 years f being principal." There were hoots and hollers from everyone. "Ok calm down." I smiled as Ash wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and put his head on my shoulder. He then kissed my cheek and whispered, "I love you" in my ear.

"Now the moment you've all been waiting for, this years prom king and queen. Drumroll please!" the band manner did as told and gave him a drumroll. "Alright, this years queen is....... MEGAN SIMON!" The crowd went wild and I stood in shock. "Oh my gosh! great job Megan!" Erin shouted over the crowd. As they placed the crown on my hear and have me flowers, I couldn't help but wonder who my king would be.

"Now, who is her king?" everyone screamed. "this years king is....ASHTON FLETCHER!" I ran off stage and have him a huge hug and kiss. "Great job babe!" I yelled.

"Ok everyone, make room for the prom king and queen." Mr. Smith said through the microphone. Everyone moved out of the way so Ash and I could dance. Once we were in the middle of the dance floor, everyone went silent. "May I have this dance, my queen?" Ashton asked with a smirk. "Yes you may, my king" I couldn't help but giggle. The song 'My Wish' by Rascal Flatts started playing. He put one arm around my waist and grabbed my hand. I grabbed his hand and put my other hand on his arm as we danced.

"Oh my gosh" I said. "What?! is something wrong?" Ashton asked concerned. "No, I just really love this song." "Oh. Haha, it's a good song isn't it?" "I guess it is" I said with a wink. He smile then kissed my cheek.

Once the song was over, Jarrid came up to me. Just my luck. "Hey Megan." Jarrid said, acting like Ash wasn't there. "What do you want?" I was so annoyed with him. "I just wanted to say how beautiful you look in that dress." "she does, doesn't she?" Ash said as he wrapped his arms protectively around my wait. He gave Jarrid a smirk then Jarrid spoke again. "She is," he stated. "I just don't know why she chose you over me." he said, smirking, then walked away. Ash looked like he was ready to punch him. I don't blame him.

"Calm down, babe." I kissed his cheek then walked towards Tyler and Erin. "Oh my god! congratulations you guys! I'm so happy for the two of you!" Erin said smiling. "Way to go bro!" Tyler said to Ash. "I'm just glad I was her king and not that jerk Jarrid." Ashton laughed.

The DJ played one more slow song. Ashton and I danced like we were the only ones know the entire school. "You look so gorgeous, Megan" Ash said then kissed me on the lips. "You look good too" I said then winked.

The last song of the night came on. 'Hey Soul Sister' by Train. The four of us danced to the song like complete idiots.

"I'm so happy you're mine" Ashton said to me. I couldn't help but blush. "Forever" I responded. He kissed me one last time.
