Evan

Its been three weeks since I first was marked. Jon and I have grown closer. Craig and the rest of his friends have become my brothers. Of course Jon was like that too, but I.. I felt more for him...

"Okay guys. Today we're starting volleyball. For starters I wanna see how good you guys are with teams. You all should be old enough to ya know play volleyball pretty decently." Professor Daniel said. "I'm gonna call out your teams. You all grab your pinnies." Daniel grabbed the clipboard and read off names. "Blue team, Evan, Jon..." Daniel continued but Jon and I instantly ran to each other, jumping up and down. "Okay! Blue team against green!" Daniel shouted.

We all ran to our positions. Jon was the setter. I was in the middle back beside two other people on our team. Daniel turned on the radio as he blew the whistle to start. I heard the beginning of the song Thunderstruck by AC/DC and adrenaline ran through my body.

The girl fledgling on our team served the ball underhand. The green team took two hits and spiked it over. It came right in my direction. The ball was coming hard and low. I fell to the ground as my knees sleeked against the gym floor to dive for the ball. The ball went up and a girl on our team called it. "Mine!" She shouted and hit it over. The team hit it back but with more force. I hit the ball up again and Jon set it up and yelled, "Evan!" I quickly got up and smashed the ball. It flew over the net and right onto the floor of the green team's side. Our whole team shouted and cheered. "Nice ace blue team!" Professor Daniel shouted.

"Blue over here and white over here!" Daniel blew the whistle again. This time we rotated and it was Jon's turn to serve. He threw the ball over his head and over hand served it. I cheered when the team missed the ball. They all sighed. Jon served it again and the team got it back. One of the girls went to hit it, but it went out. The red team rotated and their biggest player was serving. She served over hand and it smashed right in the middle of our side. Jon let out a growl. I slightly chuckled. The team served again and Jon went and dived for it, sending it up. One girl on our team set it up and Jon went to jump and everything and aced it right to the server's face. She stumbled backwards with the force to her face and Daniel blew the whistle. He mumbled something and pulled Jon out. I shook my head and laughed.

Daniel came back out after a few games. "Evan, I need to talk to you." I nodded and jogged over to him. "Whats up?" "Its about Jon. I asked him why he got all serious and he just shrugged. I think you both should spend sometime cheering him up. Alright?" I nodded feeling a bit worried. "Ok. Should I just?" "Go ahead Evan, I know how you feel for him." "Wha-" "How do you think I new Abigail liked me years before?" He smiled. I smiled back and grabbed my stuff.

I ran into our room to see no Jon at all. I started panicking. I threw my stuff on my bed and ran out of the room. I looked down the hallway and ran to Craig's room. I knocked on the door quickly. The door opened but it wasn't Craig. "Tyler! Do you know where Jon is?" Tyler shook his head. "No. I don't. Sorry Evan." "Thanks man."

I ran down every single hallway, looking through every room. I walked into the art part of the school. I heard a soft note and followed the sound. The sound took me down to the music area and then to the band room. I heard the piano loud and clear. I stopped and peeked in. I notice someone on the piano playing the main theme from Layers of Fear. As he played it was like magic. His fingers flowing over the keys. I never knew Jon played piano. I snuck into the room to get a better few. As Jon played the water bottle on the top of the piano started moving. Not the actual bottle, but the water inside. I made a small gasp and he stopped. He turned around and looked at me and jumped off of the seat. "Evan! What the hell-" "Your music is very beautiful. Can I request a song?" "Sure. Depends what though." He looked at me with bright red cheeks. I sat down on the piano seat. "Can you play Promise?" He gave me a weird look. "Oh from Silent Hill 2?" I nodded. He smiled and slowly started playing. {(Play Song) :3}

His fingers flowed over the piano like water. Every sound like a beautiful melody. Every time he reached over me I'd smell his cologne. He smelt like lavender and Old Spice. I smiled and closed my eyes. As he continued playing I imagined us on a stage together. Just sitting together and playing like no one was watching. I'd reach for keys, he'd reach for other keys and once and a while our hands would touch. Then, my mind flowed to a bedroom. Inside, a king sized bed with flowing curtains over it. Jon on the bed, his wrist cut opened, his blood slowly running down and staining the white bed comforter. I was on top, licking off his wonderful blood.

Jon started laughing as he continued his wonderful talent. "What?" I asked. "You. You're so cute when you-" Jon stopped mid sentence. "I mean..." I started laughing. "Its alright." He started laughing along.

*Finish song if you haven't already*

Jon finished the song and looked at me. "That was beautiful." I sighed happily. Jon smiled and looked out the window. His blue eyes shinning from the lights outside. As I was staring at him he started coughing. "You alright?" I patted him on the back. "Yeah fine." He coughed.

Jon started coughing even harder and blood actually came out. He fell to the ground and I was right beside him. His eyes were already starting to shed blood. The smell of his blood hit my senses but I had to control it. I screamed his name as he kept coughing. I held him in my arms as he bled out. "HELP!" I shouted, tears streaming down my face. "Please help!" I whispered. I rest my head against Jon's. He looked up at me and shakedly put a blood hand on my face. "Evan, whatever happens I want you to remember me, and to know I'm with Nyx, and to never ever get all depressed over me." He sputtered out more blood and smiled as he closed his eyes. Professors and other fledglings ran into the room as I whispered one last thing to Jon. "But you're a person worth getting depressed over..."
