This Isn't Real

Chapter 15
Iden's POV.

I opened my eyes.All I saw was white.Was I in a room?

Getting up,I spun around,checking my surroundings for the wood and Pet.

Pet.

I chuckled.I was gonna kill Pet.Making me climb up a freaking tree and I fall.....the memory hit me.

What if I was in Heaven.I almost laughed.With all the things I've done,I was damned to Hell.I'd probably see my dad there.

I started to walk around the space,my eyes adjusting to the pure white.

After what felt like an eternity,color exploded across the white and I was in an aquarium.I was all alone,which sent a shiver down my back.I seemed much smaller....

This is when I was lost in the aquarium at 7 years old.I remembered people being there,towering over me.Now only fish swimming over my head accompanied me.I ran out of the tunnel without looking back.A blast of cold air hit my bare arms as I saw white surround me once more,but I wasn't in my weird no so womderland.I was in the penguin area.I was always interested by penguins.

I ran up to the glass and put my hands on it.

Boom!White.I was back in my not so wonderland.

"Ahhh!"a scream exploded through the silence.

After a few minutes it wouldn't stop.It sounded like a broken record and it was so recognizable.It was when Jerusha got into a fist fight with Angelina and Angelina was beating the crap out of her.It was in fifth grade.I remembered it like it was yesterday.

"Get off her!"I shouted over and over again as one of Angelina's minions held me back,"What did she ever do?"

"Everything,"Angelina laughed and hit Jerusha in the jaw.

"Jerusha,break her nose!"

Jerusha remembered the move she taught me and ran her hand into the girl's nose.A crack was heard and Angelina screamed and screamed.

Mr.Seirman came over and dragged Jerusha to the principal's office and sent us to class.I hated Angelina with all my heart,but that scream was blood curdling.

I covered my ears,"Make it stop!Make it stop!Make it stop!"

"Iden?"

I opened my eyes and uncovered my ears.The screaming had stopped.

"Iden?"

"D...Dad?"

"Iden?"

I turned around to see Dad standing behind me and my face lit up.

"Dad!"I leaped into his arms,"I'm so sorry!I'll be the best daughter I can be if you come back!"

I knew I was being stupid,but I needed someone to lean on.Someone to love.

"Get off me,"he said harshly.

"I...I'm sorry,"I mumble backing up,tears brimming my eye lids.

"I hate you,"it said coldly.

I gulped,"O..ok."

My head spun to the left as I was slapped.

I held my cheek and the tears poured out,"D...Dad?"

"You're no daughter of mine,"he got on top of me and wrapped his hands around my throat.

Terrified,I try to break free.My lungs were hungry for air I couldn't provide and black spots dotted my vision.

Then everything hit me at once.

This Isn't Real.

"This Isn't Real,"I managed.

"What was that?"he loosened the grip on my throat for me to speak more clearly.

"This.Isn't.Real!"Adrenaline filled me and I looked into those...black eyes.

I kneed him in the gut ad stood up,"This isn't real!You're not real!"

He disappeared and I was surrounded in black.

"Squirrel?Squirrel,wake up.Please!"Pet's voice filled my ears.

"She's dead,Pet.We have to bury her,"I heard Brainy stand up,"I guess she wasn't as brave and strong as you thought,Zombie.Come on,Hopper,let's go dig."

I could feel Zombie's gaze scorching my skin.She kneeled beside me and I felt tears streak down her face.

One hit my cheek and it triggered me to life.My eyes flew open and I attacked Zombie and Pet with a hug.

"I'm gonna kill you,"I whispered jokingly to Pet.

"Hopper!Brainy!Come look at this!"Pet shouted.

Hopper turned around,"No way...."

Brainy turned around and ran over,"How did this happen?"

I shrugged,"I...I don't know.I just know I don't want to go through it again."
