Sal's POV
I woke up to screaming and looked out the window. I saw Joe and what he did was gonna get him killed. He slammed Haley to the ground and she blacked out. I ran downstairs and slammed the door. I jumped on Joe and he fell to the ground. "I SAID STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!" "You don't always get what you want. She's mine."
"EXCUSE ME BITCH?! SHE'S MINE! SHE MARRIED ME! I'M HERS AND SHE'S MINE!" I slammed Joe to the ground and I saw Kerri coming over. She pulled me off him and I tried going at him. "Sal calm down! Joe leave before I called the cops!" "I'll be back. I will get what I want." With that, he drove off and Kerri let me go, I scrambled over to Haley and held her in my arms. I noticed that when she hit the ground she cracked her head open. "Kerri get me a towel!" She ran to her house and grabbed one.
I wrapped it around Haley's head and held her against me. She looked weak but was still breathing. I got up and walked back inside with Kerri following me. After I laid her down and turned to Kerri? "What?" "Did you tell her?" "Tell her what?" "What you said to me when we had that fight?" I tried thinking of what happened and it hit me. (Y'ALL ABOUT TO FIND OUT WHAT HE SAID!)
Flashback
"WHAT THE HELL, SAL?! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER NOT HIT HER! I THOUGHT YOU WERE HER HUSBAND! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED HER!" Kerriscreamed at me. "Do you think I really wanted to hit her? Huh because I didn't. She knew I didn't want a fucking child. I am not ready and I'm afraid I'll fail at being a father," I said lowly. "WHO FUCKING CARES?! THAT'S YOUR WIFE!" "I know she is, but she broke the one rule I had. Just take her and leave. She'll be better off without me. I've always been a horrible person."
Kerri turned and walked back to her house. I just stood there trying to figure out what hell was wrong with me. I wasn't acting normal and I needed to fix myself before I could be around her. I didn't trust myself and I didn't want to hurt her anymore than I already have. I sighed and walked back to finish what I was doing earlier. On the way in, I took her ring and put it in my pocket. I will always keep it with me. I will always love her.
End of Flashback
(Ya or nay? Let me know if you liked that.)I hung my head and shook it. Kerri walked over and put her hand on my shoulder, "Sal, I'm not mad, but you need to tell her eventually. She needs to know that you weren't ready." "But she forgave me." "But you need to tell her. I see you walk with her with guilt in your eyes." "I will, soon." Kerri smiled and left. I sighed and then checked on Emily. She was still sleeping. I smiled at her and walked back to our room. My poor angel was getting hurt too much. We need to move. We need to move to Pennsylvania.
(Remember in the very beginning of this book I said that we would move to Pennsylvania if he wanted too, so bam!)
