Not safe

It was 5:00 and I was out because Sal said I looked stressed. To be honest I think he's planning something. I honestly don't think I'm safe though. I feel like someone is watching me. I feel like Joe was nearby. I was not safe at all right now. I then felt someone grabbed me behind. I turned around and it was not Joe, but it was Shane. He put duct tape over my mouth and dragged me by the hair to his car. I tried screaming and wrapped my feet around a pole. He yanked me and threw me in the car that I knew too well. He then ripped the duct tape off and slapped me. "I FUCKING HATE YOU!" I screamed. He then kicked me in the stomach and I screamed in pain.

He then slapped me again and then tried kissing me. I kicked him in the balls, unlocked the door, and ran. That's when I started getting dizzy and I knew it was because of the cancer. I tripped slightly but didn't fall. I didn't know where I could go without being found. I needed to hide away, but god knows where. I pulled out my phone and called Kerri. "Hello?" "Kerri help!" "What's wrong?" "Shane's after me and I'm getting dizzy." "Where are you?" "Near the bay." "Go to the airport until I get there." "Please hurry." "I'm coming now." She then hung up and I ran to the airport. I hid in between people and then I saw Kerri. I tried running to her, but my legs gave out from underneath me. The last thing I heard was Kerri screaming my name.

Dorie's POV

I ran to Haley and laid her in my lap. "Help!" I screamed. I saw Shauna running to me and help me carry Haley to my car. "Should we tell Sal?" Shauna asked. I frowned and looked at Haley. She looked slightly pale. I then nodded my head. Shauna called Sal and he answered on the first ring. She then put it on speaker. "Hey, Shauna what's up?" "Sal, we need to tell you something." "What is it?" He asked with caution. I breathed in and sighed, "Shane went after Haley. She's not coming home today, Sal. She called me and I told her to go to the airport. She then told me she was dizzy and when I got to the airport, she blacked out and now she's pale."

I heard Sal slowly breathe and he asked lowly, "Is she breathing?" "Slightly. I think she'll be fine, but I don't know about the twins. She has bruises on her stomach." "I'm gonna fucking kill him!" "Sal calm down. We just got to the hospital and she needs you." I could hear him tear up and grab his keys. "Try to keep her alive," he whispered. "Of course." I then hung up and we carried Haley in. They put her on a bed and took her to the emergency room.

The doctor came out then and asked, "Do you want us to try to get rid of the tumor causing the cancer?" "What's the percentage of her living without having surgery?" "5%." "The chance of her living with the surgery?" "50%." "Do it," I whispered. "Kerri, we don't know what Sal wants!" "I don't care right now! She could die!" Shauna went silent and the doctor left. Sal then ran in and I hugged him. "Where is she?" "Surgery." "What?" Sal yelled. "Sal without surgery she will die. They said she had a 5% chance of living. With the surgery, she has a 50% chance."

He then started crying and I held him close to me. "Where's Emily?" I asked. "My mom," he cried. I nodded and held him tightly. He was breakable if you mess with his family, especially Haley. He was hers and she was his. One cannot function without the other. Sal seemed weird at first, but when he came back from Philadelphia he was all happy. Even before he went on tour he talked about Haley and stuff. I knew then they were soulmates, so if she dies, half of him will die. "She'll be okay Sal. She's a fighter." He hugged me tighter and I rubbed his back in soothing circles. I hope she was fine.
