"Alright, let's call it a day. Great stuff today, Aubrey." I put the headphones on the stand before me and hoped off of the stool.

I grabbed my bag and water bottle. "Hey, can I have a word, Bre?" "Sure, what's up, Scooter?" I sat beside him on the couch. "How are you and Justin?" "Uhm. We're not exactly together. We decided to take a break."

"Do you still talk to him?" "Uh. Not really. We haven't had a real conversation for about a month..." "As much as I know it must hurt you guys, you really have made improvements. The both of you. Justin's been in the studio more and you're days away from releasing this single."

I didn't know what to say. What could I say? "Maybe it's best if you guys are just friends. Especially since we're all on the same team." I nodded my head one time. "Great stuff, kiddo." "Thanks, Scooter. See you tomorrow."

I gathered my things and headed back for a hotel room. I miss being home... Life is so boring like this. I literally just creep on Twitter everyday and secretly fangirl when Justin tweets.

A lot of people have been asking about us. I don't know how to reply. I don't even know what the deal with us is.

I opened up my computer. Just as I logged into twitter, a Skype call popped up. I connected it. "Aubrey!" "Justin." "Long time, no talk. Glad you answered." I smiled. "How are you?" "I'm great. Just got back from the studio. How's the tour?" "Amazing!"

"I'm glad to hear that!" "Someone wants to say hey." "Ayyyyyyy! BRE!" Za and Fredo appeared behind Justin's shoulders with goofy grins on their faces. "Awh! Hey guys! I miss you." "Miss you too!" They said in unison.

"It's boring without you here. Nothing interesting ever happens." "Good! That means you're staying out of trouble!" I giggled.

"Aubrey, I wanna ask something. I know you're probably thinking the same." "You can talk to me about anything, Justin." "What am I supposed to tell my fans. I hate not being able to answer them."

I was silent. I starred at Justin's lips on the screen. They were as luscious and plump as I remembered. "Bre?.." "I don't know. Don't lie to them." "Yeah but I don't wanna cause drama if we're going to be alright." "True..." I dropped my head.

"Honestly. Do you think this 'break' is doing any justice." "According to Scooter, yes." "We-wait what? What does Scooter have to do with this?" "Nothing, Jus-" "I'm serious. What are you talking about?"

My cheeks grew hot. "He told me we needed this." "What!? We are not his business! When was this?" "Justin. He's our manager. He-" "When Aubrey." "That day I told you we needed this." I twirled my fingers around.

Justin was silent. "He sees progress with us now that we're apart." "But he has no fucking say in what we do in our own damn personal lives!" "He's not trying to be the bad guy in this Justin. He's trying to be a good manager!"

"Why the fuck are you vowing for him?" "Cause this is my damn fault, Justin!" I clenched my fists and jaw. "If I just would've got up that day. Or if I never even agreed to this shit!"

"Aubrey. You can't blame that on yourself." "Well I do..." "Put Scooter aside. Put your needs and wants first. It's a dog eat dog world. He needs you more than you need him!" I starred a Justin.

"What do you want, Aubrey? Do you want me?" "Of course I do Justin. But things have changed so much." "Time does that..." I looked back down into my lap.

"Before we could be back to what we were, we'd have to have a long talk... In person." I watched Justin's chest sink from a long exhale. "I'm not going anywhere. You know that, right?" I looked up and smiled at the beautiful boy on the screen.
