*beep, beep, beep*
I wasn't feeling it this morning. I yanked the cord to my alarm clock out of the wall and threw it across the room.
My laptop was resting on my stomach from last night. My video chat with Justin was still opened. I sat up and began to close it so I could put it on the floor. Just before I did, "you awake, Bre?"
I opened it back up and yawned with a yes. "I'm going back to sleep." "No. You've got to get to the studio." I shook my head and pouted.
"You wanted this. Get up." "Fine." I yawned again and stretched my arms out. "I'll talk to you later. Have a good day." "You too, Aubrey. Bye." I shut the screen and placed the object on the floor.
I got a little too comfortable...
...oh God. I kicked my covers off and jumped out of the bed. I ran to the bathroom and brushed through my knotted hair.
I ran back to get my phone. Shit! I'm two hours late! I stripped out of my clothes and put on a simple, non flashy outfit.
Just before walking out of the door, I gathered my belongings and bolted for the door. Just as soon as I opened, a man was on the other side. "Scooter!" "What the hell?!" He slid past me and went into the room.
"What is with this mess?" "Uhm. Justin and I-" "Oh! I've heard enough! What happened this morning?" "I uhm, I overslept." He starred at me. "What time did you go to sleep?" "I have no idea..."
"What kept you up?" I sat my items on the floor and sat on the bed. "Justin and I were video chatting." I watched the mans face grow red. "Ugh!" He grunted. "I love you both, but this is not going to work! Y'all are too focused on each other and it's setting your work behind!
You guys wanted these careers. You both need to figure out what is more important. Your jobs or this silly damn relationship!" I stood up. "Scott! It's not like tha-" "I don't wanna hear it. You're just getting started. Now's not the time for a relationship. Especially not one with Justin Bieber."
Scooter stormed out of the hotel room and slammed the door behind him. I sat back on the bed and thought through everything that was just thrown in my face.
It's not that bad is it. Justin was doing fine with me, right?
As I was sitting there, I examined all the mess on the floor. Flashbacks from our fight ran through my head.
Maybe this is too much. Maybe I am taking a toll on his career. I don't wanna hurt anything that he's worked so hard for.
My body shook as the thoughts ran through my mind. I grew my strength and rose from the bed. This mess needed to bed picked up.
With the help of music, I successfully got every piece of broken glass off of the floor.
After a shower and a little sandwich, I was back to having nothing to do. It was about three o'clock when I laid myself back in the bed.
I was drifting off just when my phone started singing Justin's ringtone. "Hello?" "Hey bae. How was the first session?" I was silent. "Aubrey?" "I didn't make it..." "What why not?" "I fell back to sleep." "Dammit, Bre." Justin sighed.
"Scooter's blaming it on us." "What are you talking about?" "He thinks we're distracting each other." "That's cra-" "Justin, I agree with him." He said nothing.
"We need to take a break. We're supposed to be on one anyways remember?" "Why are you doing this." I could hear the hurt in his voice. I wanted to cry I felt so terrible.
"I don't wanna hurt you, Justin. Or your career. You need to focus on you and the beliebers. Not me. I gotta focus on my stuff." I chocked out the words. They were burning my throat.
"Is this really what you want?" "No. But it has to happen. At least just until I get the swing of things." "...alright." "Don't worry Justin. I'm not going anywhere. I'm still yours."
"Promise?" His voice lit up. "Pinky." "Good." "I'll uhm, I'll see you on your brake?" "Sure. Just a little over a month." He sounded like he was being sarcastic. I needed to end this phone call before I broke down.
"Have a good show tonight." "Thank you..." "I'll talk to you later." "Goodbye, Aubrey." "Bye bye, Justin."
I pulled the phone away from my ear and watched my screen. The call lasted another 30 seconds before Justin finally hung up. A tear hit my screen.
