When I arrived at the hospital, pretty much the whole crew was sitting in the waiting room. "Where is he?!" I had smeared tears all over my face. Fredo came over and wrapped his thick arms around my neck. I just stood there.
"They're running tests." "Wha-what happened?" Fredo backed off of me, grabbed my shoulders and pushed me to a seat. He took one beside me. "Anxiety really. His uh, his fans crowded him. You know, everyone knows he's not good in tight spaces.
He passed out, hit his head on the concrete and busted the back of his head." I broke down just like any normal girlfriend would do. "I have to see him...Fredo. It's my fault! I fucking left him! He's all the time talking about how he needs to protect me and now look! Look what I le-"
"AUBREY! Calm down. Stop. It's not your fault. You didn't let this happen. It was out of your control." "I could've stopped the driver..." "You didn't know." More tears flushed from my eyes. I couldn't help but to blame myself.
Hours passed. People left. Only me, Fredo, Za, Scooter and Justin's driver remained. "Has someone called Pattie?" "No, Bre. We don't wanna worry her till we know what's going on." "She deserves to know. That's her son in there." "We know. We're afraid to tell her."
I guess I couldn't blame them. I could never bring myself to tell a mother that. It's horrific.
"Mr. Braun?" Scooter jolted to his feet. "Scott. Please." "Scott. Justin is okay. We had to put eight stitches in the back of his head. He's under a lot of pain medications so he's not all there right now. You're welcome to see him. But please only two at a time."
I heard everyone sigh in relief. "Thank you, doctor." He smiled and turned back in the direction he came. "Send the kid my regards. I'll get out of your hair. I'll see him later." Justin's driver walked out of the main entrance.
"Fredo, you want to go in with me?" He nodded and walked out to see Justin with Scooter.
Another tear ran down my cheek. "He's gonna be okay, kiddo." Za put his hand on my shoulder. "I know. It's just so crazy. Everything. At first I found the protection thing silly and now this." "That's life. That's relationships. It's about being there for each other.
You can't stop bad things from happening. Protection isn't always preventing bad things from happening. It's about being there to protect the heart from falling after something bad happens." Za wiped my cheek and I smiled.
"Alright, Dr. Phil." I smirked. "Stop worrying so much. Let life take its coarse." "Thank you, Za. For everything. I'm so happy that I have you." I wrapped my tiny arms around him as he rubbed my back.
"He's asking for you, Aubrey." Fredo stood in the doorway. I got scared as I stood up. He led me to Justin's room and left me at the door. I took a moment of preparation before entering.
"Justin?" "Baaaaaby!" He giggled and kicked his legs. I busted out laughing. "Are yo-are you okay?" I sat down on the bed beside him and took his hand in mine. "I'm good, yeah. I can't fucking see my own hand clearly but I'm straight!"
"I'm glad you're okay." "You know. Scooter says I can't do my show tomorrow. But he doesn't know that I am." Justin was whispering. Again, I was laughing. "I think he's right. You need to go to sleep and let your head recover." "I'm not a baby, Aubrey." He poked his bottom lip out. I kissed it.
"Listen to me. Get some rest." I pecked his lips and he smiled like never before. I got up and walked to the door. "Goodnight, Justin." "Oh, goodnight, beautiful. I love you so so much." My heart sunk.
"Wha-what did you say?" Justin giggled and turned to his opposite side. "Justin!" Not a word. I walked out of the door and through the entrance into the vehicle I arrived in.
