~~One Year Later~~

That feeling you get when you know your life changed for the better and it was just because of one person and how they seemed to be stuck in your life.

You never know the relief to know that no matter what you do they will stick by your side through thick and thin.

I was running through the woods feeling the wind through my midnight black fur as my wolf puppy form (Who knew that being technically seven was actually a year in dog/wolf years?). (Technically 7 dog years is one human but for this story it's Opposite Day)

I was nipping at Phe-Phe's ankles for fun as she ran through the forest shouting at me to stop playfully as I chased her around.

If she didn't want me nipping at her then she shouldn't have stolen my piece of ham. Suddenly there was a sound and a familiar scent instantly hit my nose making me stop and stare at the woods.

Bushes were suddenly moving and leaves were being crushed as Zoe came out along with..."Mom!" I barked even though they couldn't hear me as I ran toward the woman who adopted me no less than a year ago.

She laughed as my small wolf body jumped into her arms and started to nuzzle her welcoming her home from the Winter Solstice meeting.

I started yipping and licking her face lightly as she started to laugh and then practically dropped me on the ground when she didn't want to hold me anymore.

"Yes Percy I'm home. I wish you would stop doing that everytime I go and then come back." She said laughing and wiping the place where I was licking her cheek to get the slobber off.

To reply I turned my back to her and lifted my head up high. I would've continued that longer if not for the fact that Phe-Phe or Phoebe was about to eat my ham.

Narrowing my eyes I crouched, wiggled my butt that was in the air, and attacked, making Phoebe fall on her back and my catching the ham that went flying through the air.

Zoe just bursted out laughed as a piece of ham dangled out of my mouth as I quickly gobbled it up before Phoebe could try and get it again.

My winning pose, that I would've done, was cut short as Phe-Phe pushed me off her and started muttering about annoying little wolf brothers.

I just gave her a blank look and walked to Zoe where I sat by her feet and looked away from Phoebe. It was now obvious that Ze was now my favorite sister.

"Love you too Percy." Ze said amused as she started to pet between my ears and at that right angle where my head was unknowingly started to fall to the ground because I was pushing my head into her hand.

I realized too late because when Zoe moved her hand my head crash onto the ground and the hunters that were now watching around all started to laugh as I grumbled and pawed at my head. It hurt!

Muttering the best a wolf can I held my back to all my sisters and stalked toward my camp which had now been renovated into a wolf den/small human bedroom.

Pushing the flap of the tent open with my nose I found a small wolf bed I had just near my human bed for when I turned back into a seven year old boy as I remembered the day I decided to become an immortal child.

Stretching I curled into the small wolf bed and laid down thinking about how my life has changed for the better.

I had a family now which was awesome because they loved me and never abused me. I had a mother who cared about me even if I was a male. I actually had siblings and even though they are older they are very protective of me.

I loved the woods and traveling all the places so we could hunt and keep the world safe. I felt like I found a place where I belonged but there was also a feeling that I was missing something.

Something that made me whole, something that would be there are a best friend. Sighing I decided to push that part of me away as I closed my eyes.

~~Amazing Small Time Skip~~

The ground was shaking was the first thing my groggy brain realized as I woke up. The next thing was that I was not in my tent, my family was nowhere to be found. I was scared.

My ears perked as the rumbling drew closer and I only had moments before large bulks started to crash through the area I was as I scrambled to not be stuck under one of their hooves as I dove inside a log that was nearby.

I never was without my family and this was terrifying. Before I knew it I was shaking as the log didn't really stop the cold wind from blowing through my fur making me shiver more.

My stomach rumbled as I shakily started out of the log once the bulks was gone. Feeling thirsty, hungry, and cold I started walking in some direction keeping an eye out for any rabbits near as the night wore on.
