Chapter 24
Friday rolled in, the last day of school. Everybody was ecstatic, summer was here!
It was a warm day, perfect for the sleepover. Sarah decided on having a BBQ outside with the ‘VIP’ guests (Me, Blair and another chick named Jessica) in the afternoon and then start the real big party inside with all the other guests.
I had my outfit planned in my head as I drove to school. Sarah was waiting for me by my locker, and we walked to the bathroom to do our usual morning make-up check.
A lot has changed in a week.
Even though some part of me still missed Ash and Lauren, I knew that my reputation was a little more important.
I guess I was using Sarah a tiny bit...I really turned into a mean bitch, but it was either that or be hated. This way at least people pretended to like me and didn’t mention the Facebook page, which was still intact and running, getting more views as the people from my school started hearing about it.
Gossip spread like wildfire.
But no one dared to like the Facebook page, they were way too scared of Sarah. They knew that since Sarah approved of me, they couldn’t mess with me.
Which is why I started being with Sarah 24/7, I guess.
But Sarah was a good friend, and Ash was wrong.
He went out with her for a while, and he must’ve loved her if he slept with her and got her pregnant.
It was his fault that Sarah had to get an abortion, he pushed her away and ran away from his problems like a coward, a wimp.
Oh well. Not like I’m not one either, I guess...
After a long day of school, my last one, I drove home quickly. I had an hour to take a quick refreshing shower, apply my make-up, do my hair and basically get ready for the BBQ.
I decided on wearing very short denim shorts with a very tight, black tank top. I had a black hair band in my hair, which was perfectly curled into beach waves.
I was wearing black stilettos and a few bracelets to match my outfit.
My make-up was basically just pink lip gloss, heavily eye-lined eyes and long, thick eyelashes coated with mascara.
I grabbed my car keys when my mom suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Remembering that I was still in trouble for staying out late that one night when I went to the cinemas with Sarah and Blair, I winced.
“Where do you think you’re going? You’re grounded, Sarah.” She crossed her arms, her voice strict and serious.
“Ugh. Come on, Mom! I’m not 12 anymore. I can do whatever I want.” I huffed, and put my hands on my hips.
My mom was shocked, because all this time I was a Goody-Goody-Two-Shoes, but she quickly recovered and gave me a warning look.
“Taylor, you cannot use that tone with me!” She snapped.
“I can use whatever tone I want. If you can talk to me like that and scold me, then why can’t I do the same to you?” I shot back.
“Taylor, do not push your luck. You’re grounded and that’s that!”
“I have an important party to go to!” I whined.
“I don’t care, you’re not leaving this house. And just because you used that kind of tone with me you will be grounded for an extra two weeks. Know where you stand.”
