I was confused at first, I was in a strange bed, in a hotel, Oh yeah, we're on the run again.

I sighed and turned over and alarm sparked through my body. Zoe was gone, again.

"You idiot!" I jumped up, Did she run away? Is she trying to go off alone?

I ran to the door and swung it open, "ZOE!" I looked down at the door of the hotel and it was still locked, Without the key Zoe wouldn't have been able to lock it back, so she's still here.

I ran down the hall, "ZOE!!!"

.....

"ZOEEE!"

..... "ZOE, WHERE ARE YOU!?" I ran past a supply closet and I heard something so I stopped and retraced my steps. I knocked on the door and heard a small sniffle. I slowly opened the door and saw Zoe curled up on the floor.

"Zoeeeeee?" I wasn't sure if she was like doing the thing like at the pond or what.

"Are you ok?"

She looked up at me and looked, she looked so terrified. I crouched down and held out my hand and repeated, "Are you ok?"

She nodded. I grabbed her hand and pulled her up, "Are you sure?"

She just hugged me. I could tell she was trying not to cry. I led Zoe back to our room silently. She was trembling but I could feel her slowly calming down. I didn't need to ask what happened; I had a pretty good guess.

I made her sit on the bed and looked her in the eyes, "I'm going to go see if I can find food, can you stay here alone?"

She nodded and I walked out to the clinic I'd seen and grabbed ten boxes of medicine supplies. I put them on the bed, "Pick out anything useful, do, not, eat, any, pills. Understand?"

I never thought I would've had to say that to Zoe. She nodded and I walked out. I saw a Walmart and decided to check that out first. As I walked in I saw a cardboard box outside the door. It was moving.

What on earth? I walked over and looked inside, three little kittens looked up at me. I couldn't help but smile, they were so adorable. I put my hand out and one of them sniffed and let me pet him. I sat down by the box and the others soon let me touch them.

I'll admit I lost track of how long I spent petting them, and I may have started talking to them. Don't judge me I'd been with Zoe who said about three words every hour. I took the cats out of the box and realized they were probably hungry. I put them in my big trench coat pockets and walked inside the store. I found some cat food and grabbed more jerky for me and Zoe and a couple water bottles. I hurried back suddenly aware I'd left so unattended for probably too long. I hurried in the hotel and saw Zoe sitting on the floor putting some bottles of medicine in a pile and throwing certain blue ones at the wall.

"Uh Zoe?" She ignored me and chucked another blue one at the wall. I sat down anyway,"Whatcha doing?"

My response?

Another bottle flying at the wall.

I picked one up and the hatred in Zoe's voice startled me, "It makes you go to sleep."

"Did Haley-" I cut off to dodge another bottle flying; this one broke from the impact. A little clear capsule rolled toward me and I picked it up. It had liquid inside and a small hole on the top for a needle if you had to forcefully inject it.

That explains more about why she wanted to leave, I picked up the other ones and put them in a bag.

"Hey Zoe look what I found," I took the cats out of my pockets and set them on the bed. They started padding around sniffing the bedding. I closed the door as one jumped off the bed and came toward Zoe.
