Alright, Kris. Objective one, find Jerry.
After giving Zoe a sufficient amount of time to get downstairs, I headed out followed by Annabeth and Gingey. My search got ended quickly upon realizing I had no idea where to even look. I tried to use my Jerry summoning abilities, Hither strange boy!
Nothing.
Zoe had gone downstairs though, so upstairs seemed like a good idea. I walked up the steps two at a time thinking of all the things that happened and wondering what Jerry did in his free time, which concerned me almost as much the combined worry for Dustin, Zoe, and Phoebe did. My cats began meowing furiously racing up the steps. "You guys are really loud, you know."
A heard the unmistakable sound of a body falling to the ground and tumbling down a few steps. "But that was louder."
I followed the noise to turn the corner seeing Jerry sitting up propped by his elbow rubbing the back of his head with his free hand, "Ow..."
I walked up the stairs to get on the same floor as him, "Are you alright?"
He stood up, but I cut him off, "Let me answer that, no. You're not alright, someone punched you in the face, and I'm demanding you tell me why."
"Several someone's have punched me in the face, so you're wrong there," he pointed a finger at me.
Every victory counts when you rarely win right, Jerry?
"Technically someone did, I just didn't mention the others. So, who?"
"It doesn't matter." "
Yes, it does," I crossed my arms.
He rolled his eyes giving me all of his diva attitude, "Even if I told you, what are you going to do? Go beat them up for me?"
"Depends on what you say."
He didn't hear me, "Suuure, that'll just prove their point. Having the mighty Kris take revenge."
I repeated myself sine he seemed to have hearing problems, "I said it depends on what you say, not 'I'm already going to hurt someone.'"
He let out a sigh looking away before glancing back at me, "It's just, a couple people who have been messing with me since the day I got here, nothing serious."
"Do they have names?"
"Yes."
Bob, Larry, and Moe?
I waited for him to actually answer until realizing he was making me spell it out for him, "And what are those names, Jerrykinz."
He hesitated , "Timothy and Henry sort of drag the others into it."
I nodded slowly, "And what department do they work in?"
"Same as me? Or what I used to do," he looked uncomfortable.
Poor boy, if only I cared. "See, that was painless."
I began plotting out ways to hunt down these peasants and break a couple of arms. I'd probably need to figure out what they looked like first.
"You won't do anything though, right?" Jeremy looked slightly panicked at the prospect of me going after them.
Sadness edged into my voice as I realized he wouldn't let me do anything to aid him, I was once again helpless. "I won't..."
"It's fine," he tried reassuring me. "I've been through worse, I survived talking to Zoe when you hated me! Or...hated me, less."
"Ha," I refused to admit he had a point.
