Alicia P. O. V.
It's been two whole days since the drive by at Leo's office and if I thought he was being overprotective then, I had another thing coming. There were literally security men outside and inside the house at all times, I was never alone. But I understood this was for my best interest and Leo took that to heart, so he naturally would want me to be protected if he weren't there.
He's been in his office for two days and I haven't seen him since he told me to go home, and I'm not gonna lie, I miss him like crazy.
I was currently in Leo's library reading one of his many books and started wondering what my life would've been like if I hadn't applied for the job at Garibaldi inc. If I hadn't, I would've never met Leo, despite him being a total ass a first. I can't help but wonder what will happen after all this blows over, what will happen to him and I. I deeply adore him, but deep down I know I have more than just adoration for him, it feels as if we've known each other forever. What I feel for him is love deep, and that scares the hell out of me.

Leonardo P. O. V.

Since the drive by, I've had security doubled at home for Alicia's safety, and there's nothing I'd love but to go home to her but there are far more pressing matters when it comes to her well being.
Ever since that night my dad and I, and our close associates who are more like family have been cracking down on who was responsible for this.
My dad walked in with a distraught look on his face and I knew he had bad news.
" Just tell me." I said sitting up preparing for what was in store.
" We've pulled the security tapes and gotten the tag of the vehicle, and not only that, have gotten a glimpse of two people in the back who we assume were just ride- alongs or backups.
We've also found out that the tag on the car belongs to Melanie smith, the mother of Alicia's ex, Rico". I sighed at the news, blood boiling of the mere thought that he would try to pull off something like this.
" We also believe your ex, Natalie, could've been a part of this too." My dad said with a disgusted look on his face. I'm hesitant to tell Alicia this news because it'll only have her stressed out more than she already is. My dad was getting ready to walk out of my office when he turned around. " Oh, one more thing, The police are currently working with us to figure out where the vehicle could've sped off after they were done shooting. " he finished walking out.
I would go through hell and back to make sure the people who are responsible for this will be held accountable, but for now I needed to get home to Alicia.
I came home and something told me to go the my library first.
I walked in and Alicia was slouched over on the recliner with a book in her arms.
' She's so adorable' I thought to myself.
I went over and took the book out of her arms and marked her page, in case she wanted to finish the book. I leaned down and planted a soft kiss on her head. Apparently she's a light sleeper because that was enough to wake her up.
She fluttered her little eyes open and I just stood still, admiring all of her beauty.
Oh Leo! Your home!" She said knocking me out of my trance and pulling me into a tight hug. And In that moment, when she gave me that hug, I realized. I'm in love with this woman. She's my home, my everything. My safe haven.
