Since Karai's return, we all seemed to be living pretty happily together. Even Raph seemed somewhat cool since she came back. But, as always, nothing was ever as it seemed; and this time a monster tsunami of terror was about to hit us - and I had never been more scared.

Karai sits beside April as the two of them watch Raph and I spar against each other. Every time Raph knocks me down, Karai was sure to cheer me on to get me back up. April, on the other hand, just sat there and giggled at Karai's enthusiasm for the fight.

I dodged a swing of Raph's sai, ducking under and sweeping his legs. He grunts as the side of his body hits the ground, making a soft thud. April's face screws up at the point of impact, and Karai cheers. "You got this Leo!" She says encouragingly. I smile back, before Raph gets up and pounces on me, catching me off guard. He attempts to pin me to the ground, but I roll away and get him down instead. I point my Katana at his throat as he's cornered on the floor, signalling the end of the fight. Raph rolls his eyes in annoyance while a smug smile crosses my face.

Karai and April join us, Karai hugging me from behind. "Not bad, Shelly." She says. I roll my eyes at the thought of the horrible nickname, before turning around and giving her a surprise kiss.

I can hear Raph and April making disgusted noises in the background. "Please, get a room!" Raph says.

Our happy moment is short lived when I can hear April groaning in pain. I break the kiss and turn to see her on the floor, clutching at her scalp like she's trying to hold her head together. "April!" I cry, rushing to her aid. "What is it?"

She doesn't respond, instead still holding onto her head tightly; clearly in pain. "No! NO!" She shouts.

I gently grab her shoulders. "April, what do you see?"

Her eyes are tightly squeezed shut, squinting hard. "I see-- I see--" She suddenly lets out a huge gasp. "NO!" Suddenly she opens her eyes, as she looks around in fear and shock. She holds one hand to her head, breathing heavily.

"What did you see?" I ask.

She sighs heavily. "I don't know..." She says. "It was so weird... There were flashes of people being held hostage... I think they were citizens... And everywhere there was destruction..." She breathes heavily between fragments of sentences. "It was like the whole city had just collapsed into chaos..."

I exchange a worried glance between Raph and Karai. "Maybe you should take it easy for a while, April." I suggest. "That's the third violent vision you've had this week."

Raph and Karai help her to her feet. "I'm fine." She says stubbornly.

Deep down I know she's not fine. April might be as stubborn as a mule sometimes, but I know her well enough to know when she's lying. Recently, these psychic visions she has have been getting more and more violent each time they occur, and I'm starting to worry. Her visions have never been wrong before, so for something this violent there must be something catastrophic on its way.

It's late in the evening now, and Karai and I are wandering the labyrinth of the New York City sewer complex. She sniffs hard, before making a gagging sound. "Eugh... How do you stand the smell?"

"After living down here for fifteen or so years, you get used to it." I reply, shrugging. There's an awkward silence.

"If you don't mind my asking," Karai begins, breaking the silence, "how exactly were you guys... Born?"
