"Gathering you three completes our platoon of five and the first stage of my plan." Sasuke said. "It's time I explained my purpose and Misa's to all of you."

The three looked at the two Uchiha's with their full attention.

"I'm going to kill Uchiha Itachi of Akatsuki, Misa is bait, she has a close relationship to Itachi. And I want all of you to help." Sasuke stated.

Suigetsu crossed his arms. "I knew it.."

"Karin, you said you had other business to attend to. What will you do?" Sasuke asked, though they all knew she had lied.

"W-well, now that I think about it, it's nothing urgent..." She said putting a hand to her chin.

"Would you cut the bullshit and just be honest for once?" Suigetsu growled, his arms crossed. "Something like, "I want to be at Sasuke's side, forever and ever," Maybe?" He mocked.

"Th-that's not it!" Karin yelled looking flustered. "Wh-why on earth would you suggest something like that!? I just-" Suigetsu cut her off. "Bullseye. Look, you're so flustered you can barely talk! Give it up."

Suigetsu smirked and narrowed his eyes at her. "I know the truth. A long time ago, you did something to Sasuke..." Karin's eyes went wide and without a moments hesitation she punched his cheek, making his head turn to water.

"Suigetsu, stop messing with Karin." Sasuke ordered. " I told you to cooperate with her."

Suigetsu's face slowly resolidified. "My bad, my bad. Sorry, Karin." He said as his face was completely restored. "For the record, I plan on sticking close to Sasuke. One of the seven mist swordmen, Hoshigaki Kisame, is with Uchiha Itachi. And I plan to take his sword, the "Samehada" for myself."

"You're just gathering swords? That's so lame." Karin mocked making the water boy frown.

"Suigetsu..." Sasuke warned.

"I know, I know." He turned to Juugo. "Juugo, you're free now. What're you gonna do?"

"Kimimaro said Sasuke's existence was like his being reborn, and Kimimaro sacrificed his life to protect him. I need to see for myself how strong of a shinobi he is." Juugo stated.

"Then it's settled." Sasuke said. Misa tugged on the chain that connected them. "What about me!?"

Sasuke glanced at her. "What?"

"I don't get a choice?" She asked.

"No, you are irreplaceable. I can't find another as close to Itachi as you are." He said, the blonde frowned and crossed her arms. "That's not fair."

"Life's not fair." He replied before turning back to the other three.

"Now it's settled, and our group will be known as 'Hebi'." Sasuke stated. "Hebi has only one purpose.. Uchiha Itachi."

----------------

It was night time, they were on there way to a place where Sasuke said they could get weapons and anything else they needed. Team Hebi had stopped for the night. All five lay in a circle around a small fire. It was late and Sasuke had fallen asleep, his head rested on Misa's lap, being that they were still chained together Misa was trying to pick the lock.

Suigetsu was on her right joking around with Juugo, whom the blonde was sure had fallen asleep in a sitting position. Karin was asleep too. The only reason Suigetsu was still awake was because he had first watch.

"Hey Misa, how did you ever get tangled into this?" Suigetsu asked turning to her.

The blonde cast him a cold look, she didn't like how he constantly looked at her. It made her very uncomfortable. "I helped Itachi destroy the clan. Sasuke found out that Itachi would visit me. Then the snake bastard kidnapped me. When I still recieved presents from Itachi, he tied me into his plan for revenge. Now I'm just trying to get to Suna, so I can finally see Gaara again.." She explained in a hushed tone.

A frown settled Suigetsu's face as he stared at her. "What do you see in that sand boy? He's nothing sp-" "You're wrong." Misa interupted looking at him. "Gaara is special. More than anyone else can see."

"And why is that?" Suigetsu growled as he stared at her, he didn't like the way she was talking about the red head. He wanted her to ask about him, not talk about some dude she has a crush on.

"He stole the heart of 'The Golden Death' also know as 'Death's Sister'. Something no one could ever do. I was a heartless girl. There were rumors of me doing almost anything. Killing a Kage. Destroying a country. Being immortal. Killing my entire family off. That's the only one that was true. I was a true Uchiha. Heartless and cruel." She smiled sadistically at this. "It took a life changing accident, Itachi, Hiruzen's death, and one boy that could manipulate sand, to change me into what I am today. Though I guess Sasuke helped a little." She muttered looking at the raven who slept peacefully on her lap.

Suigetsu stared at her slightly shocked. Misa was more complicated than he thought. "What was it about him that made you love him?" He asked quietly, he wasn't sure he really wanted to hear the answer, but on the other hand he did.

A blush found it's way onto the blonde Uchiha's cheeks as she stared at the fire. "Can't say for sure, it was either the fact that no matter how many times I tried to push him away he always came back and comforted me. Or it was that glow in his eyes that he only ever gave to me.. The smile he had on with it too, one of the only real smiles he ever had.." Misa trailed off as her mind filled with images of Gaara.

Suigetsu never replied, Misa wondered if he had perhaps fallen asleep.

-----

"This dump is a hideout? I'll be damned.." Suigetsu muttered as team Hebi walked into an abandoned area of buildings.

"It's not one of Orochimaru's. My clan used this place as a weapons storehouse. We'll get ourselves equipped here." Sasuke explained. Misa groaned as she walked beside him. He glanced at her.

"I'm not looking forward to seeing the crazy old cat lady.." She muttered.

"All the tunnels look the same.. Hope we don't get lost." Suigetsu said.

"The air here is so stifling.. It's kinda hard to breath." Karin noted.

"Well excuse us!" Sasuke couldn't wipe the smirk from his face as he saw Misa's reaction to the voices. She really did hate coming here. "Denka-baka.." She muttered as everyone looked over their shoulders at the two ninja cats.

"Denka, Hina. How have you two been?" Sasuke asked.

"If it ain't Sasuke!"

"Meew-Whatcha here for?"

"Weapons, medicine,... and a few other things. We need to get ready for a big fight." Sasuke responded, Misa was hiding behind him.

"These things..." Suigetsu cut Karin off. "Talking Tanukis, awesome." He reached out to one of them. "Here boy!"

"They're Ninja cats. Don't mess with them unless you wanna end up as a scratching post." Sasuke warned as one hissed at Suigetsu.

"Didja bring us any goodies?" Denka asked.

"How about a return bottle?" Sasuke replied.

"C'mon, let's go see the elder." The ninja cat responded.

Misa groaned at that point and Denka smirked at her. "Ah, Misa too! What a pleasure." He chuckled showing the way.

"I've come to repay my debt to you elder cat." Sasuke said bowing before the old lady surrounded by cats. Misa sighed standing as far from the woman as she could, but being chained to Sasuke that wasn't very far.

"Hey Grandma, do we have anything big enough to fit this guy?" The one girl who was trying to dress Juugo asked.

"This isn't a department store, girl! Just wrap him in that curtaain!" The old lady snapped.

"Don't be rude, Grandma! They're paying us, after all!" Juugo ignored the girl and grabbed the curtain and wrapped it around himself. "Nice."

"Misa." The blonde Uchiha froze where she was, not wanting to meet the ladie's gaze. The old woman pulled her close, so she could whisper in her ear without Sasuke hearing.

"Watch over Sasuke."

"You got it all wrong old lady." She muttered. "I'm on Itachi's side."

The woman smiled at her creepily. "No matter, watch over Sasuke." She then let go.
