"What do you mean she's going to die?!?!?!?"
"Gaara... She said she was going to die."
"No she's not! I wont let her!"
"Gaara, if what we've learned is tr-" "It's not! Misaki isn't going to die!"
Misa sighed as she heard the two men arguing most likely right outside the door of the room she was in. She recognized the seven pillows knowing it was Gaara's.
The Kazekage had only arrived near five minutes ago and since his arrival, he and kankuro had been arguing over whether the Uchiha in the bed would be dying.
Misa forced herself into a sitting position, unlike the last time she had tried, she didn't continue to fall back.
"Kankuro, send for Tsunade, she should be able to help." She heard Gaara say as he opened the door to his room.
Misa's ears perked at the sound of the door making her turn in that direction. "Misaki, why didn't you tell us you were sick sooner?" The Kazekage asked stepping into the room, he was fighting the urge to pull her into his arms, Kankuro had informed him that the Uchiha was now completely blind.
"I didn't want you to worry..." She said quietly.
"Well now I am worried." He countered sitting on the bed beside her. She looked down as she felt him brush her bangs behind her ear. "Don't ever keep something this important from me again."
She nodded her head a blush on her cheeks. "Okay.." She ran her hand along the blankets until she found Gaara's hand that was supporting him. She gripped it tightly as tears glistened in her eyes. The Uchiha slumped forward as she cried, her tears falling onto her free hand.
"It's not fair.." She sobbed, "why.. why did this have.... to happen.." Gaara pulled her into his arms letting her cry into his shoulder. He wasn't exactly sure on what she was crying about, whether it was her sight or her disease.
Little did he know was that she was crying for neither, she was crying over Itachi, wondering why he had to die when everything he did was for a good reason.
"Shhh, Misa, calm down. It's okay.. It's going to be okay.." Gaara soothed rubbing her back.
Misa wanted to argue that it wouldn't be, but she didn't want to upset him anymore than he already was. She snuggled into his shirt, she knew it, Gaara felt different from sasuke, he gave her a sense of security and love not just comfort.
That was why when he had tried to trick her, she had felt something was off. "I love you, Gaara.." She whispered holding him tighter.
Gaara's eyes went wide as he looked down at the blonde, she had never told him that, though he had mentioned his love for her years ago. He tightened his grip, leaning his head against her's. "I love you too, Misa."
He watched as she tilted her head up, almost looking straight at him. A smile was on her lips for the first time since Kankuro had brought her home.
She trailed one of her hands up Gaara's neck resting it behind his head, she twirled his hair. Gaara chuckled stroking her cheek. "I really should keep a better watch on you, everytime I turn away you vanish." Her smile brightened at his words. "I mean honestly, you're the most accident prone person I know. If you don't watch it you're go-"
"Just shut up and kiss me." Misa cut him off pulling herself closer, searching for his lips.
Gaara smirked, she didn't have to tell him twice. He kissed her, pulling her closer, his arms wrapped around her as he leaned forward. Pushing her back onto the bed. He missed the feel of her lips against his, though it had only been a week or two.
Misa's arms found their way around his neck pulling him closer. They didn't part until both were panting from lack of air. The blonde traced Gaara's jaw as he came to rest beside her. He was rubbing circles on her arm.
The Uchiha giggle gently as he unknowingly tickled her slightly. "Misaki?"
The blonde leaned against him in response. "Hm?"
"Don't leave me." He stated putting his arms around her. Misa cuddled into him.
"I'll try not to.." She muttered into his shirt.
Gaara kissed the top of her head. "I'll find a way to heal you, Misa.. You're not gonna die yet." He muttered craddling her in a way.
MIsa suddenly pushed him away. Gaara gave her a confused look until he saw she had a hand over her mouth, She rolled away just as she started to cough, the Kazekage rubbed her back soothingly. The sooner Tsunade looked at her the better. He was glad Temari had thought to put a bucket near Misa's pillow, just incase.
"Come on Misa, I'll help you get cleaned up." He said as her coughing stopped. He wrapped an arm around her and helped her stand as he lead her from his room and to the bathroom.
He helped her wash her face and hands. Misa leaned over letting the water run past her lips as she rinsed her mouth out. Gaara watched her with sad eyes. He didn't like seeing the Uchiha this weak.
"The Tsunade-baa-chan is going to be... Ticked when she sees who she's coming to help..." Misa muttered.
"What do you mean?" Gaara asked, he didn't know the two had met before.
"She's the one that healed my legs, and I got on her nerves for pushing myself too hard..." The blonde chuckled.
Gaara smirked as this and lead her out of the bathroom. "Well I think she'll be happy just to see you alive."
Misa chuckled. "Doubt it, she probably thinks I'm dead now." Gaara sighed and ruffled her hair. It was slightly messy anyway, Temari had brushed it a while ago, but she was constantly moving.
His sister had her dressed in a black t-shirt, he recognized as his, and a pair of black shorts. Something simple that even the blind Uchiha could pull on and off.
"Then she'll be in for quite the surprise when she sees you." He said. Misa smiled.
"Who knows, I might give her a heart attack." She teased.
The Kazekage chuckled as he lead her back to his room. "I hope not, I need her to fix you." He replied.
Misa pouted as he made her sit back on the bed, she was almost a hundred percent positive it was his room, judging from the pillows she felt near her, it was indeed his room.
"I can't just sleep my life away.." She muttered as he ushered her under the sheets and blankets.
"Well you can't see, so staying in one spot is the best think for you to do right now. I promise after you're better, I'll take you out for some fun, alright?" He said as he laid down under the covers beside her.
