3:00 A.M.
Gaara rubbed his eyes as he roled to his left, even without shukaku anymore he still couldn't sleep without the blonde Uchiha.
He traced the spot where she should be, technically it was the next day, but Tsunade had made it clear that they could not visit her till after her check-up at around 9:00 A.M. and the Kazekage was absolutely hating it.
He glanced over his shoulder to glare at the clock that had only changed one diget since he last looked at him.
The kage got up, thinking a trip to the kitchen might tire him out enough to sleep till it was time to see Misa.
To his slight amazement he wasn't the only one up so late into the night, as he noticed the kitchen light was on.
He opened the door and tried to suppress a chuckle. "Couldn't sleep?" The raven looked up from where he sat on one of the bar stools by the counter.
Gaara had given him the guest room for his stay, mainly to keep a close eye on the man. "Ya."
The raven had a bottle of water. The red head got the same beverage and sat a bar stool over from him. He stared straight ahead.
"What made you come yesterday?" The raven glanced at Gaara, but the kage kept his gaze forward. "Misa's been here for a few weeks now, you could have come sooner."
Sasuke smirked taking a swig of water. "I didn't plan on seeing her again, I half expected her to be dead by now, but I spoke with some old 'friends' and realized I needed to tell Misa something important."
Gaara turned his gaze to the raven. "Will you really return to Konoha with Tsunade?"
"I was thinking about it, they'll need my help if they want to defeat Madara and Kabuto." Sasuke replied. The red head nodded as he took this in.
"Did you really love Misaki?" He asked suddenly catching the male Uchiha by surprise. "Or was it just the fact that she was Uchiha blood that you needed to revive your clan?"
"I did, just not the way I thought I did. Even if kissing her made me fe-" Sasuke was cut off by a sudden punch to the face.
"You kissed my Misa!?!?" The kage yelled knocking his chair over.
"Hey relax, she already slapped me for it!" Sasuke said quickly holding his punched cheek.
"You ever kiss her again I'm crush you!" Gaara snapped.
"Alright! Alright! Geez, just calm down dammit. That was a while ago." Sasuke stated.
Gaara slowly relaxed, sitting back down and drinking some of his own water. The Uchiha hesitantly sat back down as well with a sigh.
"By the way, I heard some rumors while we were walking earlier, when are you going to pop the question to Misa?" He asked glancing at the red head from the corner of his eye.
The sand boy's cheeks flushed as he asked himself the same question. "We've only had one date, and it was ruined by you."
Sasuke shrugged. "So? You live together and share a bed, only difference from marriage life is the ring, papers, and the 'activities'."
Gaara looked down, he had the rings and papers, they were in his nightstand drawer. "I'm not even sure if she's ready for marriage." He replied.
The Uchiha sighed. "Kazekage, she said she loved you, what more of a hint do you need?!"
Said man ran a hand through his messy locks. "She just got done with surgery today."
"Stop stalling and ask her you dumb ass!" Sasuke snapped hitting him over the head.
