Interview with @Sepherene
What is your favorite book you have written?
The book's name is The Fox and the Wolf.
What was the first thing you wrote and when did you write it?
The first thing I wrote was a short novel about my life. It was horrible; the spelling and grammar was so far off. I wrote it back in 2005.
So why do you write?
I write for many reasons. At times it's a stress reliever, at times it's a break from reality. The outer world gets stressful at times, but when I write I seem to forget about everything else going on around me c: Unlike reality, I have the power to control the world in my books.
Which leads to my next question.
When you write, are you in complete control of the characters and story or do they just do what they want?
I'd like to think that I am in complete control of them. At times, I will admit, they surprise me. For example, when I'm writing a chapter I usually write without thinking. Then, when I go back to it, I get shocked by what the characters say and do. I don't know if that makes sense; I'm just weird.
That makes complete sense :)
So where do your stories come from/what is your inspiration(s)?
Inspiration for my stories come from everywhere at any time. Movies, songs, nature...a lot of things hold significance to how I develop my stories and characters.
Is writing just a hobby, or would you like to become a full time author?
Yes, I would like to become a full time author if I ever get the chance. I would like to be an English professor meanwhile until I get published, though.
Who is your favorite published author? Why?
Who is your favorite wattpad author? Why?
My favorite published author would have to be Maggie Stiefvater. Since reading her books, she was the one who inspired me to take writing more seriously and to actually try and go far with it.
I don't really have a favorite Wattpad author. Too many people are fantastic writers on this site x_x
Okay! five more questions then a few on your book! sorry this is so long.
Where/how did you learn to write stories?
I guess you could say it was self taught. The more I learned things about writing, the more I incorporated it into my stories. I'm still learning till this date
When you get stuck, how do you re-inspire yourself? What helps you continue on?
Before I write I usually have the entire plot down, so I rarely deal with writers block. Of I do, I take time off of it and jot down some ideas and try to piece everything together
Are you a creative person or more of the logical type?
I try to be creative, but logic sometimes gets the best of me. I guess I lie somewhere in the middle.
Do you listen to music as you write? If so what type and does it affect your writing?
I do listen to music when I write. I have playlists set for each type of scene; if its a love scene it's love songs. If its a sad scene it's slow songs
That's pretty cool!
When and were do you write best?
In my room, alone, and whenever I get the sudden urge to write (usually happens in the mornings)
Okay, I believe that is all the questions I have about you. I would like to ask a few questions to a character from The Fox and the Wolf which would be awesome if you answer as them. Anything else you would like to add about writing?
Nope, that's about it!
Okay, so if you could pick your favorite character from The Fox and the Wolf I would love to ask them a few questions!
First off, what is your name?
"Rainy Doherty, miss."
A pleasure to meet you.
Who are three people you could not live without?
"I'm surrounded by idiots, so I guess I can live without anyone. Well, except Lacie. She's always an exception."
What was your most embarrassing moment?
"That would have to be my first time on stage. The crowd was so wild back then, so I kept messing up and my voice broke a hundred times."
So you are a performer?
Who or what made you how you are today?
"Yes, I am. And the best there is, if I do say so myself. There is only one answer to your question, really. The wolf inside of me created the monster I am today."
Who or what is your greatest loathing reserved for?
"Most of it is self loathing, but some is also directed to Newton, the scientist who made me this way."
Last question. What is your dream/ your ambitions?
"To become normal again, though I don't think it's happening anytime soon. It's a nice thought, though."
Thank you very much!
No problem! It was fun c:
